As is known to all, the wheel offset printing machine is composed of three parts: paper feeding, printing and folding. The folding machine can be folded in the form of folding and impact folding.
The following is an analysis of the fault phenomenon and its causes during the folding process of the general rotary glue machine and proposes corresponding treatment methods.
1. When the paper strip is folded vertically, it may not work smoothly or on the triangular plate.
The reason:
1. The axial direction of the web is not correctly positioned;
2. The pressure of the platen roller on the tape drive roller is not uniform;
3. The analysis of the sheet roller setting is too relaxed;
4. The triangle plate and the belt drive roller are equal and skewed.
Deal with:
1. Correctly set the axial position of the web;
2. Adjust the pressure of each platen roller to make it uniform;
3. Reset the folding roller gap;
4. Adjust the triangle to make it parallel to the tape drive roller.
Note: Since the folding triangle is set after the press is installed, it is rarely necessary to make adjustments, so be sure to check and queue other possible faults before re-adjusting the triangle.
Second, wrinkles appear at the longitudinal fold seam or wrinkles appear along the longitudinal direction
The reason:
1. The folding nip roller setting is too slack;
2. Excessive paper feeding (cause may be caused by excessive ink or other related factors causing the rubber roller to become sticky);
3. The angle of the folding triangle plate is set too large;
4. The triangle plate and the paper belt driving roller are not parallel and skewed.
Deal with:
1. Reset the folding roller gap;
2. reduce the amount of ink to scrub the rubber roller;
3. Reset the angle of the folding triangle;
4. Adjust the triangle to make it parallel to the tape drive roller.
3. Cracks or cracks appear at the tip of the triangular plate.
The reason:
1. The paper guide roller and folding nip roller are set too tightly;
2. The angle of the folding triangle is too small.
Deal with:
1. Reset the gap between the paper guide roller and the folding nip roller;
2. Reset the angle of the folding triangle.
4. The longitudinal paper edge fluffing or slitting is not smooth and tearing
The reason:
1. The slitting paper hatching piece (round knife) is passivated or has a broken mouth;
2. The round blade is not correctly set in the drive roller slot.
Deal with:
1. Replace the slitting paper cutting blade (ie round blade);
2. Reset the position of the circular blade in the drive roller slot.
5. The cross-cut position is incorrect, and the header position is not required or half finished.
The reason:
1. The adjustment roller (paper roller) is not in the correct position;
2. There is an error in the paper path.
Deal with:
1. Adjust the pair of rollers to change the folding position of the roots;
2. Change the paper path.
6. Excessive thimble tears - book pinholes broken
The reason:
1. The pin on the drum is passivated, bent or broken;
2. The cam setting of the control needle is incorrect;
3. The folding nip roller setting is too slack;
4. The cam setting for controlling the movable cavities is incorrect;
5. The setting of a pair of cavities corresponding to the knife is not correct.
Deal with:
1. Repair or replace the needle on the roller;
2. Reset the cam position of the control needle;
3. Reset the folding roller gap;
4. Reset the cam position of the movable tooth;
5. Reset the relative position of the folding knife and the molars.
7. The horizontal cutting of the paper is uneven, fluffing or tearing.
The reason:
1. Cutting the rubber strip to wear;
2. The cutting blade is passivated or has a crack;
3. The elasticity of the blade rod liner spring is insufficient, resulting in inflexible movement;
4. The blade rod gasket spring damage causes the gasket to not be reset.
Deal with:
1. Replace the cutting rubber strip;
2. Replace the cutting blade;
3. Replace the blade rod liner spring;
4. Level or replace the blade rod half pad spring.
8. Paper cuts constantly
The reason:
1. The cutting knife is too low;
2. The cutting knife pad or rubber pad is worn;
3. The cutting blade is worn or not sharp;
4. Under the cutter holder, the blade liner spring has insufficient elasticity and the response is weak, which causes the cutter to cut the paper tape, not under the tension of the paper tape.
Deal with:
1. Raise the cutting blade;
2. Replace the cutter blade or cut the rubber strip;
3. Replace the cutting blade;
4. Replace the blade liner spring.
9. Eight or thirty-two open double folds and creases
The reason:
1. The folding edge of the folding drum is not parallel to the center line of the drum;
2. The folding blade edge of the two-folding roller and the center line of the roller are horizontal;
3. The clamping force of the folding plate on the folding frame is inconsistent.
Deal with:
1. Adjust the position of the folding knife edge of the folding drum so that it is parallel to the center line of the drum;
2. Adjust the position of the folding knife edge of the two-folding roller so that it is equal to the center line of the roller;
3. Adjust the clamping plate to make the clamping force consistent.
10. Eight or thirty-two open double folds are not in the middle
Reason: The position of the eight-open or thirty-two open folding knife is incorrect.
Disposal: Adjust the position of the eight- or thirty-two folding knife in the drum groove.
11. Eight or thirty-two open double folding paper
The reason:
1. The position of the folding knife and the splint is incorrect;
2. The folding knife and the splint are not parallel;
3. The folding knife is too low.
Deal with:
1. Adjust the relative position of the folding knife and the splint;
2. Adjust the folding knife and the cleat to make them parallel;
3. Adjust the folding knife.
12. Sixteen folds and folds are not in the middle
Reason: The sixteen folding knife is not in the middle of the eight-fold signature.
Handling: Adjust the 16-open rack or 16-fold folding knife holder to the correct position before and after.
13. Sixteen open folds and creases
The reason:
1. The pressure of the page brush is uneven;
2. The 16-fold folding conveyor belt is poorly positioned and the pressure is uneven;
3. The 16-fold folding stop gauge and the folding knife are not perpendicular.
Deal with:
1. Adjust the pressure of the folding brush to make the pressure uniform;
2. Adjust the conveyor belt to ensure uniform tension and uniform pressure;
3. The high adjustment stop gauge blocks the paper plane so that it is perpendicular to the folding knife.
14. Sixteen open folds are not true
The reason:
1. The position of the 16-fold folding table roll setting is poor;
2. The pressure of the 16-fold folding roller is not enough.
Deal with:
1. Change the relationship between the folding roller and the sixteen folding knife so that the sixteen folded back is just at the position of the strip;
2. Adjust the spring or cylinder to make the folding roller have enough pressure.
