The folding section of the JJ204 two-color web offset press produced by Beiren is equipped with a JZY101 folding machine. The folding machine can fold 16 open signatures and fold 32 open double signatures. When the folding size is changed, such as from folding 16 to folding 32, the folding machine needs to be properly adjusted. If the adjustment is not correct, there will often be problems with the post, that is, when the machine is slow, the 32-post signature is forwarded normally, but when the speed of the machine is increased, the signature can not be delivered, but wrapped in the folding cylinder. Or half of it is carried by a paper cutter, and the other half is clipped in another signature, which causes a traffic jam and a jam. This phenomenon, commonly known as the post. The following are some of the reasons and solutions for the post that I have summarized in my work.
Hanging needle problem
Due to the long use time of the hanging needle, on the one hand, the thread on the surface of the hanging needle is smoothed, so that the frictional force on the surface of the hanging needle becomes small; on the other hand, the needle tip of the hanging needle is worn and the length is shortened, so that it is not suspended. Live a signature, causing chaos and falling posts.
Solution: Replace the hanging pin.
2. Zigzag paper cutter problem
Due to long-term use, the wear and tear is serious, and the actual use height of the paper cutter has decreased, which causes the paper to be cut off when it is worn, which affects the next folding work.
Solution: Replace the saw blade. Note: The new knife should not be too high when replacing, so as not to accelerate the damage of the knife pad.
3. Rubber strip knife problem
Due to the long-term use, the edge of the knife becomes wider and wider, and the tape is cut continuously, causing the roller to be wrapped and dropped.
Solution: Replace the knife pad.
4. Brush problem
When installing the brush, if the post is too light, then 32 open posts are prone to shorts; if the post is too heavy, the unwashed blot will be dirty, but when the brush is on the signature When the brushing force is greater than the clamping force of the two-folded splint on the signature, 8 open signatures will not be transmitted, causing the phenomenon of falling posts and chaos.
Solution: Adjust the brushing force of the brush to be appropriate.
5. Folding blade problem
The new insert is stamped and has a slightly curled edge with a small burr. These burrs are not conducive to the retracting action of the folding knife. When the folding knife retracts, the burr will hook the signature out of the splint, so the new blade must be removed before use to make the edge smooth.
Solution: Sharpen the knife edge with fine stone or fine sandpaper.
6. Folding seat installation problem
The folding knife has a compression action when retracting the knife, that is, an angle is turned around the center line of the folding cutter shaft. Therefore, when installing the folding seat, it is necessary to ensure that the shaft hole of the folding seat is concentric with the folding shaft so that the folding knife can be rotated flexibly without being stuck.
Solution: Install the folding seat correctly. Gently rock the knife back and forth while tightening the bolts.
7. The problem of the first cross-knife and the splint
(1) folding knife height
The height of the folding knife blade is too low, the amount of the sandwich is less than the number of signatures, and even the signature is not attached, which is not conducive to the transfer of the signature by the splint; the folding knife blade is too high, although the amount of the clamping plate is much higher, but the amount of the clamping plate is increased, but Due to the limited opening of the splint, it is difficult to retract the folding knife, and it is possible to dial out the signature, causing a folding failure.
Solution: Adjust the height of the folding blade to the proper position.
(2) Relative position of the folding knife blade and the splint
The splint consists of two parts: a fixed splint and a movable splint. The folding knife blade is too close to the fixed clamping plate, which will cause the retracting knife to be completed and the movable clamping plate is not completely closed, causing the signature to be out of control; the folding knife blade is too close to the movable clamping plate, which is equivalent to raising the height of the folding knife blade. It is difficult to retreat and put the signature out.
Solution: Adjust the relative position of the folding knife blade and the clamping plate so that the folding knife blade is about 2/5 away from the fixed clamping plate and about 3/5 away from the movable clamping plate.
8. The problem of the second cross-knife and the splint
The causes and solutions are similar to Article 7. However, since the thickness of the signature is doubled at this time, the opening amount of the splint is slightly smaller than the amount of opening of the splint (about 9.8 mm), and the adjustment here is directly related to the size of the 32-open signature web, so the adjustment More precision is required, and you should be more careful when operating.
9. 32 open cam problem
(1) Cam new and old problems
If the cam is used for a long time and the working surface is seriously worn, the amount of splinting is reduced, which affects the advance and retreat of the folding knife.
Solution: Replace the cam.
(2) Mounting position problem of the cam in the circumferential direction
The cam is installed too far forward, the folding plate is too early to open, the double folding plate has not completely caught the signature, which will cause the signature to be out of control; the cam is too late, the folding plate is opened late, the two clamping plates are closed, and the clamping plate is not loose. Open, there are two pairs of splints at the same time grab the post, causing the post, chaos.
Solution: Jog the machine and adjust the 32-open cam to the appropriate position.
In addition, if the paper machine is not properly adjusted, the paper feeding is too slow, causing the tape tension to be too large, which will also cause the phenomenon of falling. At this point, after the machine is pressed, the tape will make a “beep” sound. Under normal circumstances, do not easily adjust the continuously variable paper feeder to avoid unnecessary trouble.
