5. Illustrator most of the veterans currently use the 8.0 English version
Some big companies are still using 9.0 or even 10.0 and still use 8.0, which is a chilling number for Adobe. It is undeniable that Illustrator has become less stable since 9.0. 10.0 is much better than 9.0. However, there are still some problems. At present, I heard that it has been released, and I have made great efforts in the startup. I have not got this version yet, so it is not good to comment. So you have a good request for stability, then 8.0 is a good choice, but please don't use the simplified Chinese version, although it is the official official Chinese version of Adobe, but there is a problem with the CorelDRAW 9.0 Simplified Chinese special edition, You can only save your file with the Save As command, otherwise it will be the same as the CorelDRAW 9.0 Simplified Chinese Special Edition. Please also do not use the simplified Chinese version of 9.0 and 10.0. If you use the English version 10, please upgrade to 10.03. 9.0 is not considered.
6.QuarkXPress has no choice
Only the Apple platform, only the 3.3 Chinese version of the Apple platform is currently available in Chinese. There is no Chinese version on the PC platform. In fact, the Chinese version does not matter. As long as it can be Chinese, just like the English version of Photoshop and Illustrator. Version, as long as you can play Chinese. Unfortunately, Quark still let us down, the English version can not let you play Chinese.
7. About InDesign, there is a 2.0 Chinese version so far.
It is a Chinese company in Hong Kong, but it is a cooperation with Adobe. You can rest assured, but although it is a Chinese version, support for Chinese is still not very good. Many problems have not been completely solved, so don't use it. Wait for the 3.0 version of the fourth quarter of this year. Hope 3.0 don't let us down. This is a substitute for PageMaker, the future typesetting software.
The process of graphic design:
0. Conceive, design, arrange, plan, and prepare materials.
1. Edit photos with Photoshop, including modification, color correction, splicing, etc. After processing, you must convert to CMYK TIF or EPS file of 300dpi.
2. Use the vector software to create the graphics, and save them as CMYK EPS files.
3. Use a plain text writer to compose a text file.
4. After preparing all the materials, combine them with the typesetting software.
5. Deal with trapping problems.
6. Proofing, proofing, and modification errors.
7. Use the Post<I>script</I> printer output to test the output.
8. Prepare the output file, including the platform, the software used, the files used, the fonts used, the font list and location, and the requirements for the output.
9. Copy all the files, including the font used, into the MO or CDR along with the output document and send it to the export company.
Professional use of fonts and typefaces
1. Usually the title should be sans serif, such as bold. However, the title can also be used with serif words, such as the standard song will produce a strong decorative. The text is applied with serif words, and the Song style is the most suitable. (Many promotional materials use the round head incorrectly in the body, which can make people feel tired and lose patience.)
2. There should be no more than 4 fonts used throughout (unless you want to show off how many fonts are on your disc). Usually 3 are enough. The word size should not exceed five. For: headline/subtitle/subtitle/body/legend, generally 3 are enough. (Excessive fonts and sizes can create clutter and make people's eyes feel at a loss)
3. When using several different word sizes, you should pay attention to uniformity. The subtitle should use the same size, and the body should use the same size. (Incorrect use of word size is like typos in promotional materials, making people doubt the quality of the products you advertise.)
4. The color of the text should not be changed too much. The text must be black. You should not use the reverse white text in the text. It will be uncomfortable to read on some low-quality paper or printing press. (Of course, the card has an exception)
5. The body should not be less than 10 points. There are too many people with presbyopia and myopia. You have to make most people read easily and happily. (If your readers are mostly older, you should pay more attention to the words)
6. Some changes can be added to the key sentences and words in the text, such as italicized characters, colored words, and so on. But not too much, see if some of the well-known big companies' promotional materials meet the above principles, respect the above principles, and your design will increase professionalism.
What font is used?
TrueType or Type1, although some books recommend using only Type1, TrueType is also a good fit. So far, the most stable PC platform is Wending fonts. Don't use Founder and Han Ding fonts. Founder fonts will only be half of the film, which is only the upper part of one word, the lower part of the blank, Han Ding fonts There will be missing words, because some Chinese characters are not in the Chinese character library. So there is no space for words. Other miscellaneous fonts are not considered, because it is a printing platform, font versatility is a problem, but the first consideration is stability, and then generality, if the two conflict, the preferred is stability, the font is stable, if The output company does not have the font, we copy it to them to help our files output normally. If you choose versatility instead of stability, then your font does not need to be copied to the output company, but there are many problems with the font, you will choose which one? Smart people know well.
