Every unit will have a variety of promotional materials, product packaging, product descriptions, etc., and most of the units do not know how to print, and can not completely prepare the required materials before printing, causing a lot of unnecessary trouble. Here we will focus on the issues and materials to be considered before printing.
1. Before you go out to print, you must first choose the printing method, because the paper, ink and printing machine used in each printing method are different, the process is different, the printing effect is different, the information to be provided is not the same, and the printing price is not the same. For general advertisement pages and company product introductions, choose ordinary offset printing (referred to as offset printing), corrugated packaging boxes can choose offset printing or screen printing (referred to as silk screen printing), plastic film flexible packaging can choose gravure printing (referred to as gravure printing) or flexographic printing. Printing (referred to as flexo printing), giant color advertising printing can choose silk screen or large inkjet printing, curved objects can choose letterpress printing (referred to as embossing), gravure or silk screen and so on.
2. Before the computer is designed and produced, it is necessary to prepare the manuscript and image draft required for the production (including the company logo required for the production, the registered trademark of the product, the image should be clear, preferably the reversal film, photo, printer not available) The printed manuscript is used as an image manuscript because of its low resolution, poor scanning effect, and color requirements (mainly unchangeable colors, preferably the value of CMYK). If the page has been designed, you need to provide details. The layout, including the size of each page, the size of the image, the size and color of the text, the size and color of the color block, the color mentioned here is best marked with the CMYK value.
3. Pay attention to the choice of finished product size by designing your own page. Before deciding on the size of the finished product, you need to decide how to use a few open machines to print, what paper to use (large or positive), a few pages can be placed on one sheet of paper. If the size is not suitable, a sheet of paper will be dissatisfied. Causes waste of paper.
4. Before making and outputting, you need to confirm the number of colors printed and whether there is a spot color. Generally printed in four colors, that is, CMYK four colors, printing through the superposition of the four colors to complete the reproduction of various colors in nature. However, in some cases, you can add some spot colors, such as gold, silver, etc. to copy the color that is difficult to express in the four-color overlay. At the same time, when using the spot color to reduce the number of printing colors, you can also use the spot color, such as only red and black on the page. Two colors, red is generally expressed in M+Y, so three-color printing is required for printing, and two-color printing is used for printing with two colors, which can save a part of the cost.
5. If you have already finished production and only need to output and print, the resolution required for each printing process is different, but the required file mode is CMYK, you can't use RGB mode output. Ordinary offset printing generally requires output of more than 133lpi, so the image requirements are above 260dpi, low resolution will affect the printing effect; silk screen generally requires a lower number of output lines, about 30lpi–60lpi, so the image resolution requirements are lower. Generally, it can be around 100dpi; the requirements for flexo printing should be selected according to the printing materials. The resolution of corrugated paper is 120dpi–150dpi, the newsprint is 150dpi–180dpi, the coated paper and self-adhesive paper are 180dpi–200dpi, plastic and metal. The film is 200dpi–260dpi, and the general dot print is 260dpi or more.
6. You also need to pay attention to bleeding, imprinting, trapping and other issues when you make your own page.
In addition, it is also important to consider the number of copies before printing. The printing number of different printing methods is different. The number of printings refers to the cost of printing, except for the cost of paper. Calculation). For example, the number of printings for general offset printing ranges from 3,000 to 5,000. Below this number, the unit price for printing is relatively high; the number of silkscreen printing is 300, and the printing durability of the screen is 3,000. The rate refers to the highest number of copies that can be printed on the screen. If more than 3,000 copies are required, the screen must be replaced.
These are all questions you need to consider before printing. It is possible to take these issues into consideration so that you can get satisfactory prints in the desired time.
