From Chuangxin shares to Enjie shares

In the Hurun Global 500 list, the founder of Enjie shares is Li Xiaohua. In the "2020 Hurun Rich List", the Li Xiaoming family, where Li Xiaohua belongs, ranks 139th with a fortune of 34.5 billion yuan, and its registered main industry is "packaging box production."

According to media reports, Li Xiaoming was born in 1958, graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1992, and worked as a manager of a company in the United States.

In 1996, because he was optimistic about the domestic development prospects, Li Xiaoming quit his job as an executive in the United States and returned to China to establish Yunnan Hongta Plastic Co., Ltd. with his younger brother to supply cigarette packaging films to various tobacco groups.

At that time, there were only a handful of manufacturers producing cigarette packaging films in the market. The establishment of Hongta Plastics Co., Ltd. soon attracted many big brand tobacco customers, such as Hongta, Honghe, Heilongjiang Tobacco, Chuanyu Zhongyan, etc. China's tobacco production was large, and Li Xiaoming also So earn a lot of money.

In 2006, Li Xiaoming began to wander in the capital market. That year, Li Xiaoming acquired Yunnan Yuxi Innovation Color Printing Company through capital operation, and then renamed it Innovation Shares. The company's revenue also rose rapidly from 100 million yuan to about 1 billion yuan.

In 2016, Chuangxin shares were successfully listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and the energetic Li Xiaoming also made the Hurun China Rich List with a fortune of 6 billion yuan.

In 2018, Li Xiaoming successfully acquired Shanghai Enjie New Materials Co., Ltd. at a price of 5 billion yuan, and formally entered the lithium battery separator business; it was also in this year that he integrated Enjie Electronics and Innovation shares and renamed the company " Enjie shares", while seizing the new energy outlet, increasing research and development efforts, and introducing new energy technologies.

After the integration, Enjie shares quickly occupied the global lithium battery separator market share, and its global market share exceeded 50%. In 2021, the financial report released by Enjie shares showed that its revenue was 4.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 35.56%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 1.12 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.27%.

Although Enjie still participates in the selection of the top 100 printing companies every year, in fact, since 2018, the proportion of lithium battery separator business has continued to increase, and it has become Enjie’s main business and has rapidly grown into the world's leading lithium battery separator industry leader .

Despite this, Enjie still has a clear leading edge in the sub-sectors of cigarette labels, BOPP film, aseptic packaging and specialty paper.

Enjie's membrane products are divided into two categories: one is lithium battery isolation film, and the other is BOPP film. Among them, the lithium battery separator is one of the main raw materials of lithium batteries; and the BOPP film is mainly used in the field of cigarette packs. Enjie has also become one of the few domestic companies that can produce BOPP cigarette film, and it is also one of the few companies capable of producing anti-counterfeiting printed cigarette film. At present, the operating income of Enjie's membrane products is 3.46 billion yuan, accounting for 80.88%, a year-on-year increase of 35.92%.

In terms of packaging and printing products, Enjie's cigarette label operating income in 2020 was 129 million yuan, an increase of 10.08% over the same period last year; the aseptic packaging operating income was 404 million yuan, an increase of 39.52% year-on-year. In terms of specialty paper, operating revenue in 2020 will be 175 million yuan, an increase of nearly 36% year-on-year.

Lithium battery isolation film business has become an important growth engine

The reason why Enjie was selected as Hurun Global 500 is mainly driven by its lithium battery isolation film business.

Benefiting from the recovery and continuous improvement of the global new energy industry and the new energy vehicle market, the demand for power batteries in the second half of the year has been strong, which has driven the rapid growth of the upstream lithium battery supporting product market. In the first half of the year, Enjie adopted measures such as cost reduction and efficiency enhancement and reasonable cost control to reduce the impact of the epidemic on the company. In the second half of the year, it will increase market expansion and seize market opportunities to achieve a simultaneous increase in revenue while downstream demand grows.

As of the end of 2020, Enjie has a total of 46 wet diaphragm production lines in five bases in Shanghai, Zhuhai, Jiangxi, Wuxi, and Suzhou, with a production capacity of 3.3 billion square meters, ranking first in the world in terms of production capacity. In 2020, Enjie's wet-process diaphragm shipments will be approximately 1.3 billion square meters, and its market share will continue to maintain the industry's leading level.
