Solvent-free inks and non-aromatic solvent inks are environmentally friendly inks, which have been gradually promoted in the printing industry. The United States, Japan and other countries have formulated various regulations, such as reducing the emission of organic compounds into the atmosphere, from the perspective of environmental protection. Reducing the amount of IPA (isopropyl alcohol) and alcohol in the dampening solution, that is, controlling the oxidation of IPA and organic substances to the atmosphere, which is harmful to human health, has also promoted the development of environmentally friendly inks. With the establishment of China's accession to the WTO and OSHA, environmental awareness has also increased, especially in the food packaging industry, which is gradually requiring the use of non-toxic, aromatic-free environmentally friendly inks for printing. Therefore, according to the requirements of the market, China's ink manufacturing industry has actively invested in the development of non-toxic, non-polluting environmentally friendly inks. The TNV offset solvent-free ink (hereinafter referred to as TNV ink) to be discussed in this paper is a new type of environmentally friendly ink.
Characteristics of TNV type ink
1. Features
TNV-type offset solvent-free inks mainly include four varieties of TNV-yellow, TNV-magenta, TNV-blue, and TNV-black, and their characteristics are shown in the following aspects.
1) In the TNV type ink, the mineral oil content is ≤1%; no solvent is volatilized into the air during printing and drying, which is an ideal environment-friendly product;
2) Non-toxic, low-odor, suitable for packaging and printing;
3) It has good water resistance, ink balance and stability on the machine, and can meet the high-speed printing needs of more than 10,000 printing per hour;
4) It has excellent friction resistance and drying performance, and is suitable for printing on coated paper. It can also be used for printing products with high anti-friction properties of ink film;
5) It has good printing adaptability and transferability, clear printing dots, bright color, high concentration and good gloss;
6) It has good vividness, transparency and gray balance stability, and is suitable for four-color printing.
2. The characteristic value of TNV offset inkless ink
The characteristics of the TNV offset solvent-free inks are characterized by fluidity, viscosity, SR value, fixation and drying time.
3.TNV offset printing solvent-free ink resistance value
In order to meet the requirements of the offset printing process and the use of printed matter, the offset printing ink needs to have certain resistance. The resistance indexes of the conventional testing include the acid resistance, alkali resistance, light resistance, water resistance and alcohol resistance of the ink.
4. The difference between solvent-free ink and general offset bright light fast drying ink
The difference between solvent-free offset inks and offset bright-light fast-drying inks is that solvent-free inks have no volatiles discharged during the drying process, and the film-forming material content is high.
The solvent amount and volatile component of the TNV solvent-free ink are almost zero, and the content of the film-forming substance is much higher than that of the general offset bright-light fast-drying ink. It can be seen from Fig. 2 that after the solvent-free ink is printed on the paper, not only the solvent is not volatilized, but also no solvent penetrates into the paper, and almost all the substances are fixed on the surface of the paper, thereby improving the rubbing resistance of the printed product.
Application of TNV ink
TNV Offset Solvent-Free Ink is suitable for four-color offset printing of substrates such as coated paper, offset paper, and matt paper (matte coated paper). It is an ideal ink for printing advanced albums, magazines, trademarks, brochures and fine paper packaging.
