Introduction
In the last issue, the author introduced the professional video production equipment of the TV broadcasting company. In this issue, I introduced the video recording products. In the past, video production required expensive equipment and professional knowledge, but now the average family can also have a simple and complete video production system, and implement self-guided laughter and small movies. A basic home video production system requires a high-performance personal computer, a video capture device, a video camera and a video editing software (if you want to make a VCD, you need another one to burn the CD player). If you do not calculate a personal computer, you can already own the above equipment within HK$10,000. Nowadays, more and more Xin people have portable video cameras, and every time they are in a festival or party, they will always see someone come and dance. The demand for the market and the competition among manufacturers have driven the emergence of many personal video products.
Portable video camera
Home portable camcorders are similar to old-fashioned camcorders and now more popular digital camcorders. (Figure 2) The old analog camera is divided into Hi8XR, Hi8, V8 and VHS-C. Hi8XR and Hi8 have 440 lines and 400 lines of horizontal resolution respectively, while V8 and VHS-C have only 280 lines and 240 lines respectively. Resolution, image quality is low. The new digital cameras are Digital 8 and DV. Both have a horizontal resolution of 500 lines or more, and the quality is better than the old analog camera. The DV machine uses a mini mini DV metal tape (Figure 3), so the DV body can be very small, while the Digital 8 uses a large 8 cm metal deceleration, so the body is larger, but the Digital 8 can be compatible with the old one. The 8 cm tape, which means that the 8 cm tape used in the analog camcorder can also be used on the Digital 8 camcorder. Recently, some new DV camcorders have used memory chips as storage media for recording, which makes the volume smaller (Figure 4).
Video capture device
After the filming, the video can be edited, such as deleting unnecessary parts, adding subtitles and background sounds, etc., to make the video more interesting and vivid. Video editing must rely on video capture devices and PC helpers (some digital camcorders have some simple video editing features built in). Nowadays, there are many choices for personal video capture devices. It is convenient to install PCs. Card (for PC Card slot for laptops) and external devices, as well as video capture cards installed in desktop computers. The capture card also has an analog capture card and a digital (DV adapter). The former provides A/V, S-Video, Com-posite or RCA interfaces to connect TVs, VHS recorders and analog cameras. The digital connection card usually provides an IEEE1394 (or iLink) interface directly to the digital video camera, and the video is downloaded to the computer hard disk (or uploaded from the computer hard disk to the digital video camera) The digital connection card is also compatible with a variety of analog video connection functions. The analogy capture card and the digital connection card operate completely differently. The former needs to compress the analog video in the playback first, and then convert it into an AVI file (the AVI has many different companies). The latter standard; because the DV recording has been compressed, it can be directly downloaded to the DV connection card, then the DV connection card can decompress the video and store it as an AVI file. The popular image capture devices in Hong Kong are Pin-nacle MiroVideo, Dazzle Snazzi. DV, Pyro Digital Video, Canopus DV Raptor and Matrox Marvel, etc. Most video capture devices come with one or more video editing software, so that users do not Spent to purchase another software, such as Pin-nacle MiroVideo DV300 / DV200 and Canopus DV Raptor will be included Adobe Premiere5.1 video editing software.
Apple iMac DV/iMovle
General PC video editing can be done on a PC or on a Mac. Recently, the iMac DV from Apple Computer is a DV slogan. The equipment is also suitable for people or home users, and the price is very reasonable. The iMac DV is divided into two versions, one basic version and one special version. The two devices are basically the same. The latter has a faster CPU (400MHZ), more RAM (128Mb) and a larger capacity triangular disc (13Gb). Because there are already many articles reporting this machine, I will only introduce the DV part related to this article. I recently purchased an iMac DV Special computer and borrowed a Sony digital camcorder for testing. I never edited the video before, but I found it very easy to use. As a video editing tool, the iMac DV provides an IEEE1394 digital port (Figure 6) that is not available on a typical PC, and comes with a cable and iMovie editing software. As long as the digital connection camera is connected to the iMac DV computer, the user can transfer the captured image from the camcorder to the computer. At this time, the user can use the iMovie software to edit the video.
Use, it can already help users to edit the clips, arrange the clip order freely, add the cut-off effect between the clips (such as fade in and out), or add the subtitles or special sound effects that will scroll, and then output to digital camera after editing.
