The screen FT-R5055 phototypesetting machine is another winch type phototypesetting machine launched after the FT-R3050 phototypesetting machine. It is an improved version of the FT-R3050, which improves the speed, increases the format and improves some FT- The problem with R3050. In terms of operation, the FT-R3050 is not much different, and the menu is basically the same. Let's introduce this machine below.

The FT-R5055 phototypesetting machine measures 787*988*1003mm and weighs 200kg. The power requirements (excluding the punching machine) are 200-240V, 50/60HZ, and the photo-setting machine power is 0.4KW. The 635nm laser diode is used. The resolutions are 1000dpi, 1200dpi, 1500dpi, 1800dpi, 2400dpi, 3000dpi, and the available film specifications are 10", 12", 14", 16", 18", 20", 22", 24", maximum exposure. The width is 550mm (when the registration accuracy is guaranteed), and the interface interface used is the Wide SCSI interface. In addition, when installing the FT-R5055 imagesetter, you should also pay attention to the environment. It is best to choose a dust-proof room for the room to be installed. The temperature in the room should be controlled at 23±5°C, and the relative humidity should be 50-70%.

The operation panel of the FT-R5055 is shown below.

1. Display version: All working status and error information will be displayed in the operating state.

2. Menu button: Press this button to enter the control menu.

3. Connection signal: When this light is on, it indicates that it can receive RIP transmission files.

4. Upper signal light: When this light is on, it indicates that the film has reached the waiting position.

5. End button: Stops the exposure or transfer function.

6. Select button: Press one of the two buttons to select the function used.

7. Enter key: This key is used to enter data or eliminate error information.

Normally after booting up or pressing the menu button, the following menu will appear.

FEED is the upper menu, press the enter key, the menu is as follows.

LOAD is the top film. Select this to move the film to the position to be exposed. SET is also a film. After selecting this function, the film will be cut 8 inches into the film processor or the film box, and then the remaining film will be placed in the exposure position. This function is mainly used to remove the removed parts when replacing the film. REMOVE is a film that returns the film to a position where it can be re-sent. The CUT is a piece, and the part that the piece needs to be cut is cut and sent to the filming machine or the film holder. Generally, the FT-R5055 imagesetter can automatically cut the film during the hair-discharging process. When the last exposed film is not enough for the automatic cutting length (the length is 1.2mm when the registration accuracy is ensured), the operator is required. Manual cutting. CUT-COND can set the front of the piece to the film processor or the film clip to send a certain length of the film. FF is to send a film to the film processor or the film clip. Generally, the film is sent according to this item, and the work is terminated until the stop button is pressed.

HDD is to sort out the data function in the hard disk, press the enter key to enter, the menu is as follows. Now the new FT-R5055 is no longer using the hard drive, but instead uses memory, so on the new machine, this item has no effect.

OUT is to expose the data received on the hard disk that has not been exposed. The CLR is to erase all data on the hard disk.

MF.1 indicates the number of the clip, which is determined by the label attached to the side of the clip and cannot be modified in the menu. Pay attention when attaching the mark on the side of the film clip. To select MF1-3, this is the film mode. The film will pass through the two buffers before and after to ensure the registration accuracy. Select MP1-3 (photo paper mode), MD1-3 ( In the silver salt mode, the material does not pass through two buffers and cannot guarantee registration accuracy. F1 is the parameter type of the film. The light value of different films can be stored in different parameter types. When the film is replaced, the light value can be called up by changing the parameter type, and the light value need not be re-adjusted. Only three sets of parameters can be stored in each clip number. The value after the parameter type indicates the width of the film used. This value needs to be modified by the user according to the width of the actual film. The machine cannot detect it automatically. 60M indicates the length of the film left now, and this length needs to be modified by the user each time the film is replaced.

SPC indicates the gap between the files that are output. Press the Enter key to display the following menu.

AUTOSPACE refers to the gap between two files, the user can modify it, but the value range is 10-99mm, can not be set to 0, that is, save the film, there is no gap between the two files is not acceptable.

CUT-L is the cutting line. Press the Enter key to display the following menu.

After the cutting line is opened, a black line will appear between the two files output. This is for the convenience of the user to cut the slice, but generally this does not need to be opened. Change OFF to ON. In the menu that appears after opening this item, SPC indicates the distance from the cutting line to the edge of the document. The value adjustment range is 1-99mm. WIDTH indicates the width of the cutting line, which can be set to 0.1-3.0mm. Thus, the exposure length of each file is: page size (including page information) + inter-page setting space + crop line space + crop line width.

Use the selection keys to move to the menu below, as shown below.

LASER represents the laser value. In the use of the FT-R5055 imagesetter, the measurement and adjustment of the laser value is very important. Press the ENTER key to display the menu below.

Taking 1200dpi precision as an example, LASER (12,100) indicates that the light value is 100 when the accuracy is 1200dpi. You need to modify the precision. Just move the cursor to 12 and use the selection key to change it. The same is true for the light value modification. After selecting the appropriate light value, move the cursor to the EXP, expose the film test strip, and measure with a densitometer. The exposed film test strip is shown in the figure below.

After exposure, there will be a total of seven sets of exposure test strips (only five sets are shown in the figure), and the middle set is the fourth set from the top (the third from the top) is the exposure test strip under the current light value. From this group, the exposure test strips of the current light values of -5, -10, and -15 are sequentially turned upward, and the exposure test strips of the current light values of +5, +10, and +15 are sequentially descended from this group. Each set of exposure test strips includes the case of the field (100%), the case of 50%, and the like. The line at the bottom of the film indicates the accuracy of the film. One line represents 1000dpi, two lines represent 1200dpi, three lines represent 1500dpi, four lines represent 1800dpi, five lines represent 2400dpi, and six lines represent 3000dpi. The test strip is used to measure the solid density first. Generally, the offset printing requires a solid density of 4.0 or more, and newspaper printing requires a solid density of 3.4 or more. If the field density in several sets of test strips does not meet the requirements, you need to modify the light value to re-exposure the test strip. If there is a group that can meet the requirements, then select this set of light value inputs. If there are several groups that meet the requirements, you need to measure the percentage of outlets in 50% of the places, and select the group of light input that is closest to 50%. For example, when 1200dpi, the light value is set to 100 test strips, and the sixth condition from the top to the bottom is measured. If the condition is satisfied at 1200dpi, the light value should be 110, and the light value of 1200dpi can be adjusted to 110. When adjusting the light value, you should pay attention to the following points: First, before the light value adjustment, the state of the film processor should be stabilized, such as adjusting the development time and temperature; second, the light values of different precisions are not necessarily the same, each precision The light value of the different brands should be adjusted separately; the third is that the light values of different brands of the film are different, and the film should be adjusted when the film is replaced; the fourth is that the light value ranges from 40 to 300. When it is greater than 300, the lens may need to be wiped, or it may be wiped. If the laser head is faulty and needs to be replaced, it is recommended to contact a professional maintenance person.

VERSION is the version of the query control version. Press the Enter key to display the following menu.

I/F refers to the version number of the SCSI control version, MCON refers to the version number of the main control version, and DAT refers to the operating parameters of the unit. The version number can only be viewed and cannot be modified.

SCSI-ID refers to the SCSI number of this unit. Press the Enter key to display the following menu.

The screen configurator has a SCSI ID number of 6 at the factory. If there is no conflict with other peripherals, it is recommended not to change it. When you need to modify it, just change the value to the desired value.

The last BUZZER is to control the sound. When it is in the ON state, press the button on the control panel and the machine will make a "Beeps" sound.
