In the cover of the previous issue (212), we used the experiment of Hexa chrome. The printed effect is richer in color and level than the inner page (P.29), especially the Pantone color simulation is more obvious. However, some readers said that the text used is matte paper, and the cover is made of glossy paper. The cover is printed more beautifully with the help of paper. This is of course a fact, but in fact the effect of ink color is more obvious. Because this experiment is limited by the monthly paper, it can't be compared clearly. On August 18th, a British software agent, HiFi Color's color separation expert Mr. Glynn Hartley made a special trip to Hong Kong to demonstrate ICISS's HiFi Color color separation software. The full name of ICISS is Interactive Color Independent Separation Software. We have heard this software for a long time, but there is always no chance to see it. This is a rare opportunity, so there are almost 30 people attending the conference.
The color separation function of ICISS is really extraordinary. According to Mr. Glynn's explanation, the software is actually a color computing part of a high-end color separation machine (such as Hell, Cross field, DS), which turns its technology into software running on a Mac. ICISS not only can handle the color separation of general four-color ink, the most powerful is that any kind of ink color can be input into the software for color separation of four colors, four colors or four colors. The number of colors is not limited. There is no problem with color separation from color to sixteen colors.
On the same day, Mr. Gylnn demonstrated the four-color plus one spot color, Hexa chrome six-color, Hype Color CMYKRGB seven-color separation settings, first activate the Scanner software part of ICISS.
