The so-called seamless splicing background image, that is, the whole image can be seen as a splicing of a plurality of small rectangular images, and there is no seam between the small rectangular images, and the small images are completely coincident. This seamless stitching image is also common in daily life, such as floor leather, wallpaper, fabric, gift wrapping paper, etc. on the ground, seamless stitching images are widely used in computer image processing, especially in some graphic designs. And the background of the webpage, the theme content is set, not only beautiful and unique, but also easy to use, without wasting a lot of time and space. The following is an example of making a floral texture pattern and a human puzzle.

Floral cloth texture pattern

The specific steps for making a floral texture pattern are as follows (the production software is Photoshop 6 Chinese version):

1. Create a new RGB file with 80×60, 72 pixels/inch and white background color.

2. Set the foreground color to sky blue. Select the airbrush tool from the toolbox, select the brush shown in Figure 1 (can be loaded from the blending brush), and click the mouse to generate in the middle of the image.

3. Select the "Filter → Other → Displacement" command from the drop-down menu. In the Displacement dialog box, set the horizontal to 40 pixels and the vertical to 30 pixels. The undefined area is folded back and you are sure to exit.

4. Select the gun tool from the toolbox again and click the mouse to spray the same pattern in the middle of the image.

5. Press Ctrl+A to select all the image content, then select the Define Pattern command from the Edit menu, give it the name “Flower Texture” and define the selected area as the pattern.

6. Create a RGB file of the appropriate size, select the Fill command from the Edit menu, select the content to use as the “Pattern” in the Fill dialog box, select the “Garden Texture” just defined from the Custom Pattern drop-down bar, and confirm the exit. , complete the production of the floral pattern, fill the results.

Character puzzle

In everyday applications, we may also need to stitch the selected characters or scenes in a certain image as a small image into a background image. In this case, you can use the Seamless Welder in the Photoshop plug-in filter group KPT3. The filter is used for the purpose. The Seamless Welder seamless welding filter works by reading the information at the edge of the image marquee and inverting it to the opposite side, then blending with the selected part to eliminate the seam. Also note that since the seamless weld filter reads the edge information of the marquee, when you pull out a selection, the space between the selected outer frame and the edge of the image must be at least 10% of the size of the marquee. Specific steps are as follows:

1. Open a RGB image file of the character image, and use the rectangle to select the tool box to frame the character's head. We will use this avatar as a seamless mosaic background pattern.

2. From the Filter drop-down menu, select the Seamless Welder filter in KPT3. In the dialog box that appears, set Mode to Seamless Welder, Glue to Normal, and Opacity to 100%. Drag the mouse in the preview window to see the bottom left corner. The hint bar has an Intensity of about 50%. We can preview the edge blending by Preview Edge Matching in the triangle drop-down menu in the upper right corner of the filter, then press the green button in the lower right corner to perform the filter function.

3. Select the Define Pattern command from the Edit drop-down menu and give it the name "People Image" to define the selected area as a pattern.

Create a new RGB file of the appropriate size, select the Fill command from the Edit menu, select the content to use as the pattern in the Fill dialog box, and select the “People Image” just defined from the Custom Pattern drop-down bar. The filled result is like the title image. As you can see, the edges blend well and there are no seams.
