The large-format color inkjet printer was formerly a pen plotter. In 1991, Hewlett-Packard first applied inkjet printing technology to large format printers, launching the world's first monochrome large format inkjet printer. The equipment used in large format inkjet printing is generally referred to as an inkjet printer and belongs to the new generation of printing family of inkjet printers. In terms of the format, it is usually more than 1m, even 3m to 5m, and because of the unlimited length, hundreds or even thousands of square meters of huge screen can be successfully completed by continuous operation of large-format printing equipment. Piezoelectric continuous inkjet uses the advanced continuous inkjet printing technology in the industrial automation production line. The equipment failure rate is very low. The low-viscosity pigment-based ink has good adsorption on almost any roll of material, even in The carpet is sprayed on the carpet, and can be directly applied to the outdoor without coating or filming. The resolution of the latest model can reach 150DPI, which is more than enough for ultra-large-format printing. According to the ink water-soluble type, solvent type, hot-dissolved type, and UV type, the large-format inkjet equipment is divided into water-soluble inkjet, solvent-based inkjet, hot-melt inkjet, UV inkjet, etc. . Water-soluble inkjet has excellent image quality, is suitable for printing outdoor products and indoor products, has low investment cost, and is rapidly growing in digital proofing, art reproduction, photography and other market applications. It is the most commonly used inkjet method, and is divided into For pigment type and dye type, the pigment has good weather resistance, light resistance, washing fastness and abrasion fastness; the dye has many kinds of colors, and the vividness is good, but the fastness is poor. Among them, the traditional water-based ink has good color saturation, small damage to the nozzle and consumables, and low pollution, but it is not waterproof and UV-resistant. The new-generation water-based ink solves the problems of waterproofing and anti-ultraviolet rays, and has bright colors, no corrosion, no Pollution and other advantages.


Solvent-based inkjet printing is suitable for limited base materials. The price of ink is low. It can be printed directly on vinyl banners, self-adhesive vinyl, mesh fabrics, self-adhesive materials, paper, various types of plates, etc. Used in industrial printing. Solvent inks contain volatile organic compounds, which can adversely affect the environment. They should be controlled during use, storage and disposal, and should be well ventilated during use. However, due to the good printing performance, fast drying and strong durability, the printed product does not need to be coated again, which saves time and reduces the cost, and will not be eliminated in a long period of time. At present, various environmentally-friendly solvent-based inkjets have been continuously developed, which has reduced the harm of solvent-based inkjet to a certain extent, and will also strive for a solvent-based inkjet to survive in an environment-friendly atmosphere.


When the wax used in hot-melt inkjet is heated to 60 °C, it becomes a liquid. After spraying onto the material to be printed, it quickly cools down and solidifies into a solid. There is no worry about the expansion of the dot. The material suitable for printing is wide, and even printed on toilet paper. Or on sandpaper, the future development potential cannot be ignored. At present, due to the slow printing speed, poor anti-glare, and high price of the machine, the application range is still very limited.


UV inkjet is a new member of the inkjet field. The printed image has good durability, low price relative to ink, and can also print white ink. Especially after some manufacturers introduce large-format flat-type UV inkjet printing system, users can directly in wood, Printing on metal, ceramic, glass and other products may become the first choice for high-speed inkjet printing. Inkjet-printed UV inks mainly include water-based inks, hot-melt inks, and low-viscosity inks. However, the printing performance of UV inkjet has yet to be further improved. Currently, the more compelling UV inkjet devices are large format roll-to-roll UV inkjet printers. This equipment has strong production efficiency, low ink price, less environmental problems, diverse processing materials (hard and flexible materials), smaller seller competitiveness and white ink.
