Typically, self-adhesive work is typically printed using a specialized web label printer. However, due to the unique structure of the multi-size small offset printing machine, we used a small multi-size offset printing machine to print the self-adhesive work and achieved good results. Our experience is summarized below for your reference.
1 Do not print directly on roll paper. Some small printing factories do not have a die-cutting machine. They cut paper by hand, the knife edge is not smooth enough, and the size is not well controlled. There are basically no rules, which may cause the paper to fail to pass. In addition, after the roll self-adhesive paper is cut, it has a certain degree of curl and cannot be flattened, and the self-adhesive sheet-fed offset printing machine cannot normally feed and print.
2 Pay attention to the following points when using self-adhesive:
(1) Just cut the self-adhesive paper, it is best to dry for a while, dry the glue at the incision, and then print on the machine.
(2) When cutting paper with a paper cutter, it is best to cut the paper into specifications.
(3) After the paper is cut, the glue in the adhesive paper interlayer will be squeezed out and stick to the edge of the paper. The spilled glue must be removed. Otherwise, double sheets may be easily formed during printing, and even the paper cannot be fed normally. , thus affecting overprinting.
(4) If you are eager to print, you can use talcum powder to spread on the incision of the self-adhesive paper to make the glue dry.
(5) If you use self-adhesive paper, the paper will not go to the front gauge, you need to lower the paper feed roller, extend the paper feed time of the paper feed roller, and make the paper reach the front gauge to achieve normal paper feed printing.
(6) After printing for a period of time, it is necessary to wipe off the side pull gauge, the fangs, the glue under the platen, wipe it off with alcohol, and then continue printing.
(7) Since the self-adhesive paper itself is two layers of paper, and the interlayer contains a layer of glue, it is heavier than the paper of the same average number of grams. When printing thick self-adhesive paper, it is necessary to increase the gap between the platen and the impression cylinder to ensure that the paper is normally fed.
In addition, there are a variety of self-adhesive papers, such as copper plate stickers, glass card stickers and plastic film stickers. When printing different self-adhesive papers, different amounts of water and ink are required, and special attention should be paid to maintaining ink balance during operation.
