In the entire offset printing process, it is the process of solving the contradiction between the ink and the paper. To smoothly transfer the ink coated on the printing plate to the printed paper, it is necessary to apply a certain printing during the transfer of the graphic and text. pressure.
It is often said that the phrase "no printing without pressure" fully illustrates the importance of printing pressure. Since printing pressure is so important, isn't this pressure as big as possible? Of course it is not. In general, the appropriateness of printing pressure is often manifested by the printing quality of printed products. The printing pressure should be based on the premise that the printed product has a strong dot, a clear picture, a bright color and a light shade; and the smaller the application, the better.
When the printing pressure is too small, it will cause:
1. The transfer of printed graphics is not complete;
2. The outlets are not strong and the color is gray;
3, the imprint is not fixed, the text is imaginary, the outlet is not real, and the color is gray.
4. Make the original defects and problems such as printing plates, linings, papers and printing machines more visible.
Therefore, the ideal printing pressure should be such that, under the condition that a certain printing surface is deformed, the minimum pressure is uniformly used on the basis that the printing is sufficiently strong. The printing pressure is suitable for the fixation to be firm. Too much or too little printing pressure is not conducive to the quality of the print, and it is extremely harmful to the correct transmission of the print.
The ideal pressure is not a fixed concept, but under the premise of conducive to product quality, based on various objective printing conditions, appropriate adjustment and adaptation, in practice, the ideal pressure is generally controlled at 0.15-0.25mm And the pressure between the cylinder and the blanket cylinder is greater than the pressure between the plate cylinder and the blanket cylinder by about 0.5 to 0.10 mm.
