When printing gold and silver inks, the printing of thin lines is difficult, and the imprint often appears unclear. In addition, the back of the finished product after printing is easy to reverse. How did this happen?


First, the thin line imprint is not clear


1. The ink inner material is dried too fast, and the ink is dried after it has not been transferred to the substrate. The solution is to appropriately adjust the ink by adding an alcohol solvent such as butanol. Because alcohol solvents can improve ink transfer performance.


2. Generally, the printing speed is slow at the time of booting, and gold and silver inks are prone to poor transfer, resulting in fine lines not printed. As long as the medium speed is increased, the transferability of the ink will naturally be better.


3. If the printing is clogged and the printing plate is clogged, special cleaning agent should be used for cleaning.


4. The mixing roller is separated from the printing plate. If the ink mixing roller in the ink tank is separated from the printing plate, it may also cause fine lines to be printed. Especially when printing gold and silver ink, it is most likely to happen and should be noted.


5. When printing plastic film, there are often some knives in the quality of the squeegee and the depth of the net is deep. Proper blowing can reduce the production of the knife line, but if the blowing is too large, sometimes the thin lines will not be printed. The winding is too tight, the solvent in the ink can not be safely volatilized, and the pressure on the printed product is too large, so it is easy to reverse the sticking. The solution is to reduce the winding tension and reduce the anti-sticking probability.


2, gold, silver ink drying slowly


The special nature of gold and silver inks determines their poor affinity. Therefore, the insiders believe that the finished products must be processed and compounded in time after printing gold. At the same time, when printing gold and silver, the solvent should be dried quickly to accelerate the solvent in the ink. Volatilization or even complete volatilization, it is also important to increase the drying temperature. If the surface is printed with ink, it is toluene: ethyl ester: isopropanol = 5:2:3, if it is ink, it is toluene: butanone: B Ester = 6:2:2 or 7:2:1, at the same time, try it. If the printed product is white, there is a phenomenon such as panning, which means that the color case is too fast and the reproducibility is poor. The solution is to use slow dry solvent properly. Can be solved.


3, the workshop temperature and humidity control is improper


Anti-sticking of printed products, delamination is also related to the temperature and humidity of the workshop. When the humidity is too large, it is prone to stickiness. Therefore, enterprises with conditions should install air conditioners to adjust the temperature and humidity of the workshop to make the printed products ideal. The effect of printing gold and printing silver, when the gold and silver products need to be compounded, the adhesive with strong permeability and poor curing performance is not easy to make the gold powder react, and the coating amount of the adhesive is appropriately increased to improve the compounding. Pressure and drying temperature are also important.


4, the impact of different types of ink


Different types of ink rollers are used for printing, printing gold and silver parts are easy to fall off and anti-sticking, so that the products are scrapped. The sealing knives are prone to delamination or delamination. This is mainly determined by the unique properties of gold and silver. For different types of inks, the solution is to adapt the printing suitability of gold ink to other inks, ie, printing and black printing, printing on the surface and printing, and not mixing.


5, raw edges, spots


A large area produces a speckle pattern, and the gloss is extremely poor. Part of the ink is diffused outward from the edge of the image. The reason may be that the ink is too thin, the plate mesh is too deep, and a large amount of static charge is accumulated on the plastic film. Solution: Reduce the amount of solvent; the pattern should not be too deep when making plates; antistatic treatment of plastic film.


6, escape color


Some of the thin lines are not clearly printed or printed. The reason is: the binder is drying too fast, the printing speed is too slow; the large area of gold and silver ink blocks and fine lines of gold coexist, and lose one. Remedy: Add butanol to adjust the viscosity, increase the printing speed, and divide the large-area color block and thin line into two plates.


7, gold ink overprint is not true, Lu Jin


Reason: The drying is not enough, the depth of the cell on the plate cylinder is not enough. Solution: Add appropriate amount of quick-drying solvent to the gold ink, adjust the printing pressure or increase the depth of the cell.
