In recent years, with the application of CDI technology in the flexo printing industry, flexo printing products have shed the image of early printing quality and poor fineness, and gradually impacted the middle and high-end market. Nowadays, many flexo manufacturers can produce beautiful products that are compared with traditional offset and gravure. The application range of the products is also extended from the early low-end packaging bags, carton corrugated paper, etc. to cigarettes, wine labels, high-fidelity packaging, film, fine corrugated paper, milk bags and other fields. But simply having a digital flexo does not mean having a high-precision flexo quality. Many manufacturers report that even with the high-quality digital flexo, the product fineness has not achieved the expected results.

Influence of substrate on product fineness

For all kinds of coated papers with a weight below 90g/m2, after long-distance transportation and long-term stacking, the water content will vary greatly with the surrounding environment. In addition, the paper length of the flexo printing machine must be dried by a multi-color unit. If it is a thin paper, it will be deformed several times and the deformation direction is inconsistent, which has a great influence on the quality of the product with multi-color overprinting. Therefore, paper suppliers must strictly control the water content of the paper, shorten the transportation cycle as much as possible, avoid exposure during transportation or stay in the rainy weather for too long. These measures are prerequisites for controlling the fineness of the product during the printing process.

The effect of ink on product fineness

Fine prints usually need to meet the following quality requirements:

(1) The ground is smooth and delicate, with a neat surrounding and no ghosting.

(2) The outlets are clear, small in deformation and well-defined.

(3) With thin lines and small text, the lines are required to be clear, and the text is beautiful and not paste.

(4) Multi-color overprinting requires accurate overprinting, no whiteout, and no excessive overlapping borders.

Under the premise that the printing pressure has been adjusted, the ink performance is adjusted to maintain a stable viscosity and good printability, and the print can meet the above four requirements.

In general, the product uses ink viscosity of 45'-60' (paint 4# cup), and the ink level and hiding power of the viscosity range are both. The ink has good hiding power and is flat in the field; the ink has good leveling property and is fine and shiny in the field. The ink viscosity of the network cable product is good at 30'-40' (paint 4# cup). The ink transfer performance of the viscosity range is good, the reproduction performance of the dot is strong, and the printed product has clear dots, small deformation, and is not easy to paste. Dirty version. The products of multi-color overprinting design minimize the trapping parameters under the premise of not covering the blank, and arrange the printing color sequence reasonably to ensure that the ink color of the latter color printing will cover the previous color trapping.

The impact of the printing process on product fineness.

The setting of the printing process: for example, the trapping parameter setting, the printing color sequence is arranged before and after, the embossing is convex, and the stamping set for the post-process is not possible when the gilding cannot be connected.

Compared with offset printing and gravure printing, the flexographic printing machine has poor overprinting precision. If the printed products have to go through the hot stamping, embossing and other subsequent processes, and can not be connected with the flexo printing machine, marking the printing plate in advance is the premise to ensure the accuracy of the subsequent process, and also to ensure that the product packaging is exquisite after molding. The essential. Whether the product is printed properly after packaging and perfection is an important aspect that reflects the fineness of the product.

In short, the improvement of the fineness of flexo printing products, in addition to the direct relationship with printing equipment and printing plate production, has a closer relationship with the substrate selection, ink adjustment, printing process and printing operation level in the printing process.
