Introduction to the basic knowledge of hot stamping process

The hot stamping process is also called bronzing or ironing aluminum foil. The electrochemical aluminum is composed of five layers of different materials, the first base film layer, the second layer peeling layer, the third layer colored layer, the fourth layer aluminum plating layer, and the fifth. Layer hot melt film layer. The principle of hot stamping is that when the electrochemical aluminum is heated, the second layer is melted, and then the fifth layer is also melted. When the imprint is pressed, the hot-melt film adheres to the printed matter, and the third layer is separated from the first layer, and the aluminum layer and the colored layer are to be plated. Stay on the substrate.

    (1) The hot stamping process requires that additives such as a lightening paste containing a paraffin wax and a bright light paste are not allowed to be added to the hot printed ink. The hot stamping area should be as small as possible, and three layers of ink overprinting are especially prohibited. The hot stamping section leaves a blank when making the plate, and the electrochemical aluminum design is preferably not more than 450 mm and 600 mm wide.

    (2) Hot stamping temperature requirements, mainly based on the type and performance of anodized aluminum, hot stamping pressure, hot stamping speed, hot stamping area and graphic structure and ambient temperature. The general rule is when the stamping pressure is small, the machine The speed is fast, the ink color of the base of the printed matter is thick, the area of the graphic is large, the line is thick, and when the ambient temperature is low, the hot stamping temperature is appropriately increased. Otherwise, the temperature should be lowered, and the temperature adjustment range is generally between 70-80 °C.

    (3) Hot stamping pressure requirements, mainly based on hot stamping temperature, machine speed, the nature of the electrochemical aluminum itself, the thickness of the printed ink layer, the structure of the image and the smoothness of the paper, the general rule is when the hot stamping temperature is low, hot stamping The speed is fast, the surface of the printed paper is thick, the area of the graphic is large, the line is thick, and the smoothness of the paper is low, the hot stamping pressure is increased, and vice versa, the pressure is reduced, and the range is about 25-35kgf/cm2. Generally, printing pressure is high.

    (4) Other requirements, such as the speed of reeling and unwinding of the anodized aluminum should be consistent, and the pulling force is moderate, so as to prevent the occurrence of faults such as hot stamping, lack of writing, or unclear writing.

The hot stamping machine is a mechanical device that transfers hot stamping materials onto the printed matter by hot pressing. The paper feeding methods of the hot stamping machine are manual paper feeding, semi-automatic paper feeding and automatic paper feeding. Currently, paper feeding is being automated.

Preparation before hot stamping: loading plate → pad version → determination of hot stamping process parameters → trial hot → signing → official hot stamping.

Introduction to the basic knowledge of die cutting and indentation

The die-cutting and indentation process is to make the edge of the color print into various shapes according to the requirements of the design, or to add a special artistic effect to the printed matter, and to achieve a certain use function. The process of punching a steel knife into a mold (or carving a steel plate into a mold), and punching the substrate into a certain shape on a die-cutting machine is called a die-cutting process; using a steel wire to emboss, pressing a mark on the substrate or The process of leaving a groove that is favorable for bending is called an indentation process.

The die-cutting and indentation process is used to process all kinds of exquisite book bindings, packaging and other printed products into various patterns that people need, and process the carton prints into a new, clean and straight carton; it is not only used In the packaging of goods, it is also used to make various high-grade decorative boxes for books and samples.

The equipment used for die cutting and indentation processing is called a die cutting machine.

The hot stamping die cutting machine is a combination of hot stamping machine and die cutting and creasing machine and other machines to form a multi-function post-press processing equipment. Since the 1980s, domestic hot stamping die-cutting machines have been dominated by flat stamping.
