Sheetfed and web offset are currently the most widely used printing methods. High viscosity inks for such printing are also suitable for energy curing printing. The UV offset overprinting process can be either dry or wet. For dry overprinting, a curing unit is placed after each printing unit, while wet overprinting requires only one curing unit after the last printing unit. EB inks are used for wet overprinting because the high energy during curing does not require curing between processes. EB curing is especially suitable for fresh-keeping packaging of juices and wines because it cures completely and does not cause back smearing when rewinding the roll substrate.

UV embossing is ideal for hard plastic printing such as cups, tubes and buckets.

UV screen printing is best suited for applications where thick ink layers are required, such as poster printing.

Flexographic printing is currently the fastest growing in UV printing, especially in the printing of narrow web labels. Wide web label printing manufacturers have also recently entered the UV flexo printing market. As the quality of flexographic printing continues to improve and the field of application expands, the demand for special physical fitness continues to grow. Among the UV flexographic printing processes, the most attractive ones are the chemical resistance of printed materials. In addition, low energy consumption, short standby time, and less organic volatiles will continue to drive the market.
