Binding with double coils is a very common binding method in prints. It is also very convenient to use, and it is exquisite and beautiful. Many gifts have begun to choose double-coil binding, so what are the main types and types of binding double coils? Here are the common two-coil binding types listed below:
3:1 coil: 3 holes per inch on the page. If you follow the 11-inch standard size, there are 32 holes. Depending on the thickness of the book, the coil diameter can be selected from 3/16" to 3/4" and is the most used type of coil on the market.
2:1 Coil: The binding edge on the page punches 2 holes per inch. If you follow the 11-inch standard size, there are 21 holes. 2:1 coils are larger and more rugged than 3:1 coils. Depending on the thickness of the book, the coil diameter can be selected from 5/8" to 1.2".
19-hole coil: 19 rectangular holes punched on an 11-inch standard page. Coil diameters can range from 1/4" to 1", and market applications are similar to 2:1 coils.
Different binding methods are applicable to printed materials of different thicknesses and different specifications. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a suitable binding method when binding. The common materials are sprayed steel ring and plastic coil, which can be selected according to different requirements.
