People often use inkjet printers to print documents, postcards, letters and even photos. Since inkjet printers are mentioned, it is important to talk about inkjet printers. Although a small printer cartridge is insignificant compared to the inkjet printer itself, the printer is useless without the presence of an ink cartridge. First, the basic working principle of the ink cartridge
Although the ink cartridges have many models and different shapes, the basic principle is the same. Some means that the ink drops a certain amount of energy to be ejected to a predetermined position on the printing paper. The energy-giving device we call the energy generator is installed in the cartridge.
The ink cartridges are divided into two types: split type and integrated type. However, when the split type ink tank and the spray head are combined, their components are basically the same: generally, the ink tank, the hydraulic balancer, the energy generator, and the ink droplet passage (nozzle). It consists of four parts.
Ink tank for storing ink
The function of the hydraulic balancer is to generate a certain negative pressure of the ink in the ink tank, so that the ink can be immersed at the outlet of the ink droplet passage, but does not flow out by itself. The general ink tank is also designed as a hydraulic balancer. For example, the ink tank of the hp45# ink cartridge is a gas cylinder with tension, which has the effect of balancing the ink pressure. Some ink cartridges rely on sponges for the same purpose.
The energy generator is divided into two types: a thermal spray type and a piezoelectric type. The heat spray type heats the ink to boiling, and then ruptures the bubble to generate an ejection speed. Piezoelectric type is based on the potential difference to move tiny ink droplets onto the paper surface. Such as epson series printers.
In the ink droplet pipe (nozzle), the ink jet is guided by a certain pipe to reach the predetermined position, which is the function of the ink droplet pipe. Its other role is to control the size of the ink droplets. If you want to say that the most valuable and technologically advanced part of the ink cartridge is the ink drop pipe. Because the hole diameter of the ink droplet pipe is required to be as small as possible, the smaller the aperture, the finer the ink particles ejected, and the higher the resolution of the printed photo. The aperture is generally only a fraction of that of the hair. Today's printers can eject droplets as small as 2ppl, which exceeds the limits of human eye resolution.
Second, the use of ink cartridges
1. Storage of ink cartridges
Place the ink cartridge at room temperature, avoiding sunlight, strong light and heat source storage;
Do not tear the outer packaging of the ink cartridge and the air hole seal before the ink cartridge is installed on the machine.
After the ink cartridge is unpacked, it should be installed on the printer as soon as possible, otherwise it may cause the ink cartridge to leak ink or not emit color;
For best results, it's best to use it within six months of installing the cartridge.
2. Replace the ink cartridge
When the ink light is on, it indicates that the ink has run out and you need to replace the ink cartridge. After the ink cartridge is placed in the printer, do not remove or reload it until it is determined to be replaced. Otherwise, the air will enter the inkjet nozzle and affect the printing effect. At the same time, the amount of ink displayed on the computer will also produce errors. Inkjet printers should normally be turned on within one week, otherwise the ink remaining at the inkjet nozzle will solidify with the dust in the paper and air. Therefore, when using an inkjet printer, it should be noted that in the case of no printing for a long time, it should be cleaned until the nozzle detection is normal before printing can be started.
3. Install the cartridge
(1) When the red ink indicator light starts to flash or stays on, please replace the ink cartridge immediately to avoid some malfunction caused by the electronic memory of the printer memory. Be sure to tear open the vent seal (ie yellow sticker) before installing the new cartridge, and make sure that each vent is completely open, then attach it to the printer, fasten the protective clip, and press the cleaning button until the filling process is complete.
(2) After installing a new ink cartridge, the nozzle detection must be performed first. When the detection print pattern is broken or a certain color cannot be printed, the print head needs to be cleaned until normal, otherwise the print pattern will be seriously lacking color or color cast.
(3) When any one of the ink cartridges is empty or not installed, the printer will not work even if there is ink in the other ink cartridges.
(4) Once the new ink cartridge is dropped, the cut portion can be removed before replacement.
(5) Unless you want to replace the ink cartridge, do not open the cartridge protection clip under normal circumstances, otherwise the ink cartridge may not be used.
4. Method of cleaning and self-checking the print head
(1) Using the computer, use the application toolbar in the printer software for nozzle detection and print head cleaning.
(2) Press and hold the printer's own cleaning button for 3 seconds to clean the print head. Self-test must be turned off and then press the paper feed button and power button for 3 seconds.
(3) The above two methods are better in the first method. Always clean the printer head 2-3 times each time you install a new cartridge.
(4) After each cleaning of the print head, a nozzle test is performed. Don't be lazy, otherwise it will affect the detection of printing effects and waste ink!
(5) If it can't be improved after repeated cleaning, don't take out the ink cartridge. It is recommended to let it be put in the machine for a few hours, which can also be improved.
5. Determine if the printer cartridge has ink
In general, the ink in the printer cartridge will have some precursors before it is exhausted. The following phenomena generally exist:
(1) The print quality is degraded, for example, the black ink becomes lighter; the color content is colored; or the print area has a blank space (ie, the ink cannot be ejected)
(2) The first few sheets of paper can be used for each print, but after printing one or two, the writing becomes noticeably lighter or even disappears, becoming a blank sheet. After a period of time, print again, or a similar situation occurs, but the writing is getting shallower and lighter, until the first page is very shallow, even blank.
(3) When the printer is offline, it cannot be loaded at all, but the ink cartridge indicator blinks.
In general, if the printer does not have any signs of paper feeding at all, such as the sound of paper, the action of attempting to roll paper, etc., the "feed/ink cartridge" indicator flashes, and sometimes the cartridge automatically moves to the middle. The location, then the problem with the ink cartridge, then if the reinstallation of the cartridge is still the same, you need to replace the cartridge.
6. Precautions for using the ink cartridge
(1) Do not invert the ink cartridge for a long time before using it on the machine and avoid strong light or high temperature environment.
(2) When the ink end indicator light starts to flash during the printing process, it means that the ink will be used up. At this time, several sheets can be continuously printed until the indicator light stops flashing, and the printing stops printing. At this time, the ink cartridge should be replaced immediately.
(3) The ink cartridge should be used immediately after unpacking (to prevent air from entering the inkjet port)
(4) After the new ink cartridge is on the machine, the print head should be cleaned 2-3 times until the self-test pattern meets the requirements (because the ink cartridge is vacuumed during the production process, there is still a small amount of air in the sponge, sometimes on the long-distance A small amount of air may rise to the ink outlet during transportation, which may affect the printing effect)
(5) There are many factors affecting print quality, in addition to the quality of the ink cartridge, the choice of medium, the clarity of the original picture, the output resolution when printing, etc., in order to make a correct judgment when the quality of the user's printer is degraded.
(6) The printer should be used frequently, even if it is not printed, it must be turned on at least once a week.
(7) Do not put your hand into the printer or touch the ink cartridge during printing work.
(8) Do not use ink cartridges that are longer than the expiration date
