The binding method of album production and printing

Regarding the binding method of album production and printing, Biyin Bazaar summarized the following five commonly used types: saddle nails, flat binding, line binding, wireless glue binding, and lock line glue back binding. Biyin Bazaar has sorted out the characteristics and application of various binding methods for you, hoping to help you make a better decision on the choice of binding when printing the album.
1. Saddle nails. The pages are held in place by two wire nails, similar to the T-on of the most commonly used staplers. The cost of the picture book bound by the saddle nail is low, the price is relatively cheap, the process is simple, and the production speed is fast. And it can be flattened, and it is more appropriate to use this method for albums with relatively few pages, such as below 50P. The disadvantage is that the saddle nail can not be bound to a thicker album, if the number of pages is large, the position of the spine after binding will be obvious protrusion, the center of the plate is easy to be misplaced, and the upper and lower mouths of the spine are easy to be damaged when cutting the finished product.

2. Flat ordering. Nowadays, flat ordering is less used. Iron nails are prone to rust and corrosion over time, causing the pages to fall loose and fall off. Flat binding needs to occupy a certain width, which is inconvenient when turning pages to read, and is suitable for albums with less than 300 pages.

3. Line binding. The book block is firm, but the flatness is poor. Generally, the line binding is exposed on the outside of the spine, and the aesthetics are not as good as the hidden ones. Books with thicker bindings can be bound, and thread binding is not recommended for books with fewer pages.

Fourth, wireless binding. At present, most albums use this binding method. However, due to the defects in the quality and use of glue, there are still some quality problems that have not yet been solved. If you want to keep it for a long time, make it clear that you use a high-quality melt. Common books use wireless binding, which is also a relatively cost-effective binding method.

Fifth, the lock line binding. Also known as sewing glue binding, the books bound in this way are smooth and sturdy, and this binding method is used more at present. The book can fully see the printed content on both sides, which does not affect the reading, and has a high degree of firmness, and will not fall off the page when you turn it over many times; However, this binding method takes a long time and is relatively expensive. A common one is the binding of various dictionaries.
