Regardless of manual screen printing or fine machine screen printing, the way the operator cleans, grinds and stores the squeegee will directly affect the printing quality. There are several ways to properly maintain the screen printing squeegee.
1) Record
Recorded contents include: characteristics of the new squeegee; name of the seller and date of purchase; suitable printing type for squeegee; ideal screen printing parameters (scraper pressure, speed and theoretical angle); ideal squeegee wear or re-grinding Number of prints; suitable maintenance measures and grinding methods for the squeegee.
2) Cleaning
Improper cleaning methods are more damaging to squeegees than excessive use of squeegees. Be sure to pay attention to cleaning the squeegee:
*Use diluted solvent;
*Do not soak the squeegee in a solvent. Even if the solvent is not corrosive, wear a cloth with a cloth.
* Before cleaning, use the sample to check the cleaning effect of the solvent squeegee and whether it is harmful;
*Do not use solvents such as cyclohexanone, acetone, triester, ethyl ethoxylate, butyrate and carbon dioxide;
*The squeegee that has become hot after high-speed squeegee should not be cleaned immediately. It must be kept open for at least two hours before it can be cleaned. Because the increase in temperature will make the squeegee material more permeable, the squeegee will be cleaned and the solvent will corrode the squeegee material.
3) Storage
The squeegee should be stored under the following conditions:
* After use and cleaning, lay flat on the clamp with the knife edge facing up;
*The new rubber scraping box should be used after 24 hours;
*Place in a ventilated place for rapid evaporation; avoid dust and dirt;
* Maintain constant temperature and constant humidity, ideal temperature is 15 ~ 25 ° C, to avoid light.
