1. Design of commodity barcode

2, print carrier and media

Commonly used packaging materials, such as plain paper, cardboard, plastic film, aluminum foil, tinplate, corrugated paper and some special printing materials can be used as printing carriers for commercial barcodes. However, it should be noted that the use of narrow reflective materials should be avoided when selecting printed carriers, and materials that are transparent, translucent, and poorly colored should be avoided as much as possible. In order to ensure the printing precision of the product barcode, a printing material with good dimensional stability, moderate ink diffusion, low permeability, smoothness and smoothness should be selected. For rougher corrugated and woven bags, self-adhesive barcode labels can be used. When printing barcodes on tinplate and aluminum foil, full consideration should be given to their high temperature resistance.


When printing commercial barcodes, you should select the ink that matches the carrier, and pay attention to the uniformity and diffusivity of the ink. 5, printing method

According to the plate making form, the printing method can be classified into relief printing, lithography, gravure printing and stencil printing. The characteristics and practice of the printing method prove that the bar code printed by gravure printing and gravure printing has good quality stability and high dimensional accuracy, and is suitable for printing commodity bar codes with different magnification factors, which is the best choice for printing commodity bar codes. The traditional letterpress printing has poor stability and large dimensional error, which is not suitable for printing commodity barcodes.
