The effect of overprinting color on color prints is an important factor in measuring product quality. Therefore, correctly mastering the printing process of color overprint products and turning off good operations is an effective guarantee for improving product quality.

We know that it is very important to superimpose the color of printed matter to make the printed surface thick and bright, and the visual effect is satisfactory. The organic coordination of the ink adjustment and printing is very important, but the specific conditions should be handled separately according to different conditions. For example, when the surface of the printing paper is smooth and the ink absorbing property is poor, the ink layer of the ground color printing layer is thinner to avoid sticking when the overprinting color is applied. In addition, the background color is appropriately printed, the color printing effect is good, and the drying of the ink layer is facilitated.

For offset paper products with rough surface and large ink absorption, the amount of ink in the ground color should be appropriately thickened to lay a good foundation for obtaining a thick gloss. When printing a multi-set printing plate, the ink layer is thinner than the bottom color, and the blended ink color is slightly lighter than the original color, because the ground color is basically close to the original color, the overprinting is not dimmed, and the printed product will be deeper than the original. In order to ensure the normal color registration and prevent the bad effect of the blotting over the bottom due to the difficulty of drying the ink, when printing the base color and the color-stacking plate, the amount of ink absorbed by the plate should be separately added, and an appropriate amount of dry oil should be added to ensure the printing quality.

Generally, the amount of white dry oil added is: 2% - 5% of resin ink, 3% - 10% of oily ink; the amount of red dry oil is about 2%. Since dry oil has an effect on ink color, light-colored inks are mostly used as white dry oil, while red dry oil is mostly used in red and dark inks to avoid deviation of ink hue.

If you overprint the red or yellow background and print gold on the background, you can make a solid version, in addition to the blank part, to make a transparent yellow or brightener to increase the gloss of the solid version. In order to ensure the quality of the overprint and prevent the imprint from going through the bottom, in addition to overprinting the black text on the gold plate and the background color of the white ink, it is generally possible to print a black background and then print a large background color to avoid the background color on the printed product. The ink layer rubbed and scratched on the machine. In addition, in order to ensure the accuracy of overprinting, after the background position (ie, the rule) is determined, when the overprinting position is adjusted to the overprint position, only the position of the printing plate can be adjusted, and the position of the front gauge and the side gauge cannot be adjusted to avoid the paper. The edge of the water wave line is invisible to the naked eye, which affects the stability and accuracy of the overprint.

For the pattern of yin and yang overprinting, one of the plates can be appropriately expanded to overcome the inaccurate overprinting caused by the machine's precision defects and changes in the temperature and humidity of the environment, resulting in plate leakage and affecting product quality.

In addition, pay attention to adjusting the printing pressure. Excessive pressure can also distort the printed product, resulting in inaccurate overprinting. In addition, the thickness of the lining should also be standardized. If the thickness is too large or too small, the printed layout will be out of shape, causing the overprint to be inaccurate.
