In the CMYK mode image, a grayscale image is added by the usual method. Because Photoshop wants to separate the color, no matter what format the grayscale image is, it will be uniformly converted into CMYK's four-color mode, which will be followed by Printing brings some troubles: because it is necessary to mix the four inks into grayscale, any deviation of the color in the printing process will cause the color cast of the print, which is more prominent in the monochrome machine; Any one-color "rule" misalignment will cause the image to "strip". Therefore, in Photoshop, it is generally avoided to use "four-color ink". If it is a single grayscale image, it is normal to use the "grayscale" mode to create and save the disc directly, but in the same version, there are both color images (CMYK four colors) and grayscale images (such as a magazine cover for color graphics). When the back cover is grayscale, the above contradiction will appear. The above problem can be solved by the following method, so that the added grayscale image exists only on the black (K) version. (Photoshop5.02 Chinese version as an example)

1. The color map and grayscale image used are processed separately in their respective modes. For the position and size relationship of the gray scale in the color map, you can drag the grayscale image into the color map to see if it is appropriate, and then delete the “layer” where the grayscale image is located. If it is not suitable, the grayscale is The figure is modified, then dragged into the color chart to observe, and then deleted. Repeat this until it meets the requirements.

2. In the grayscale image, execute Ctrl+A Select All, Ctrl+C to copy the grayscale image to the paste version.

3. In the color map, activate the “Channel” palette; click “Black Channel” to make the “Black” channel the current channel; click “Eye” in front of the “CMYK” channel, all channels are visible at this time, but the editing action Only in the "black" channel; execute Ctrl+V to paste the grayscale image in the pasteboard into the "black" channel; the grayscale image that is pasted is now a "selection area" that can be moved anywhere to fit Request; cancel the selection.

4. Save by TIF format and complete.
