From the experimental theory, the chemical composition of the varnish should be determined. From an application point of view, it is a simple method to check the quality of the glazing oil purchased by the user.
smells. The UV oil solid content is about 95% or more, and the solid content material has little volatility. Therefore, the good glazing oil is very small and should be less odor than the printing ink. The smaller the odor after curing, the better.
measure the solvent content. The glazing oil was placed in a graduated vessel (less than 50 mm in diameter), and the paper was placed for 12 hours to observe how much was volatilized. Generally, the drop in surface position is not seen. If the drop is clearly observed, it means that there is too much solvent in the varnish, which is a fake product of the original varnish added with thinner.
UV varnish is a non-conjunctival material. Like edible oil, it will not crust when placed for a long time. A small amount of glazing oil was placed on the surface of the glass sheet, and the skin was observed for 24 hours after being placed in the light shielding state. The non-skinning instructions are UV oil, otherwise it is a fake UV oil.
stimulation of the skin. Use a small amount of glazing oil on the back of the hand and observe for about 20 minutes to see if the skin becomes red or blistering. The skin of the good varnish is basically unable to react, and the varnish will have erythema. The bad varnish will cause the skin to foam. .
Observe the color of the UV oil. The UV ink was placed in a transparent glassware to observe that the lighter the color, the better the quality.
viscosity. Different viscosities are selected according to different glazing models. For example, the viscosity of ordinary three-roller and enamel glazing machine is 30~40s.
leveling. Check the printed matter after glazing, and the ripples indicate that the leveling property is not good. The solution is to reduce the viscosity, heat or add a thinner; secondly, extend the coating and curing time to make it fully level and then cure.
