The outlets are the basic units for realizing that the printed products can reflect the different levels of the publishing surface and the natural and gradual adjustment of the shades. It plays a role in determining the color, level and outline of the print in printing. Therefore, only the size of the dot can be accurately reproduced in the plate making process to ensure that the printing process achieves better results.

Since the degree of shading of the printed matter is expressed by the size of the dot, the dot size is different, and the process is commonly called "cheng". Only by accurately understanding the concept of dot count, can you better use the dot to print the print that is closest to the original color. Therefore, knowing the number of outlets is the knowledge that print operators and quality inspectors should master. I will summarize several types of outlets as follows:

The number of points within 50% of the dots is identified based on the number of black dots on the edge between the two blacks. That is, in the gap between the two black dots on the opposite side, three equally-sized black dots can be placed, which is 10% of the dots; if the distance between the two dots can accommodate two equally large dots, It is called 2 into a network; if 1.5 dots of the same size can be placed between two dots, it is called 3 mesh; if it can accommodate 1.25 tablets of the same size between two dots, it is called 4 A network point; if there is one dot of the same size between the two dots, that is, the black dot and the white dot in the unit area are half each, that is, 50 mesh dots. The determination of 50% by the Internet point is measured by how many white dots of the same size can be accommodated between the two white points on the opposite side. From the point of view of the dot arrangement, the number of dots in the distance between the two white dots is exactly 60% and 4%; 7% is the same as 3%; 8% is the same as 2%; 9% is the same as 1%.

The above situation shows that the so-called dot count is the percentage in the unit area. For example, 1% is 10%, 2 is 20%, and the other is analogy. 100% is the physical layout. A rough analysis is made from the arrangement of positive dots. If the black dot is larger than the white point, it is 50% for the Internet access point; if the black dot is smaller than the white point, it is 50% or less. The larger the number of dots, the thicker the print on the print, and the lighter on the contrary. The size of the dot area determines the change in the layout level. Usually, the level on the screen is divided into three tone levels, that is, the high-level layer is composed of 1 to 3 dots, so that bright parts are formed on the screen. The midtone level represents the transition between the light and dark of the picture, usually consisting of 4 to 6 mesh points. The dark and dark picture composed of 7 to 9 mesh points is a low-key level. The brightest part on the printing plate, that is, the high-light part is less than 10% of the dots.

In summary, only by accurately understanding the number of outlets, can we make better use of the change rules of outlets, produce printing plates that conform to the originals, and print color printing products with accurate colors and satisfactory quality, which is the goal of quality management.
