HP 6L laser printer is one of the most widely used high-quality and practical printers. Its output quality is excellent, the price is low, the fault is less, and the maintenance is relatively convenient, so it is favored by many users. However, during the use process, due to some reasons of operation technology, materials and the machine itself, some troubles will inevitably occur. For example, in the case of paper feeding, there are many problems. Of course, many of these problems are caused by the problem of the paper itself. Caused by improper use of the operator. Below, I will introduce a few examples of troubleshooting and troubleshooting methods for paper feeding, as well as problems that should be noted during operation.


First, often feed multiple pages or paper


In the HP6L laser printer, multiple sheets of paper or paper jam often occur during the printing process, which makes the printer work abnormally.


The causes and troubleshooting methods for the above faults are as follows:

1. If the paper guide is not properly adjusted, remove the paper from the input tray or sheet feed slot, align the paper, and then reinsert it. If it is a single sheet of paper, reinsert it into the slot. Slide the paper guide so that it is placed on the sides of the paper in the input tray or on the edge of the paper in the single input slot, with the paper in the middle. The paper guide should be adjusted properly and should not be too tight or too loose.


2. Multiple sheets of paper have been added to the sheet-fed input slot, and only one sheet of paper can be added to the sheet-fed input slot at a time. If you print more than one type of media, use the input tray.


3. The input tray is overfilled, and the input tray can hold 100 sheets of 75g paper. The heavier the paper, the smaller the paper, or the maximum of 10 envelopes, up to 10 in high humidity. If the input tray is too full, take out some paper.


4. The paper cuts poorly and sticks together, curling the paper into an inverted U shape, separating the paper, reducing the number of sheets sent at a time, or turning the paper around and feeding the other end into the printer.


5. The paper is beyond the capacity of the paper tray or front output slot and cannot store more than 100 sheets of 75g paper in the output tray. It is not allowed to stack multiple sheets of transparencies or multiple sheets of other media on the front of the front output slot.


6. Paper can not meet the technical requirements of HP6L laser printer for printing media. Try to use paper that meets the requirements. Do not use inferior paper that is too thin, too thick, uneven, excessive paper powder, and waste that is stuck together after the paper is wet. paper.


Second, often jam at a certain location


1. The cause of the malfunction, the laser printer jam, is related to the use of printing paper that is too thin or deformed after moisture. In the process of paper feeding, the paper jam caused by the paper deformation is not within the scope of the printer failure, and it can work normally by replacing the standard printing paper. If the paper is always stuck in one location and it occurs every time it is printed, it is considered a faulty jam. HP 6L laser printers, faulty paper jams occur in the following locations: 1 paper has just entered the machine jam. 2 The paper is fed into the paper path and jammed. 3Paper paper jams in the fuser unit. 4Paper paper jams at the paper exit position.


2. Inspection method, 

2.1 paper paper just enters the machine jam, generally caused by the paper roller wear and slip to make the printing paper not in place. If the wear is not serious, the fault can be eliminated after cleaning, and it may be used after a period of time. It is best to replace the new pickup roller to completely solve this problem. 

2.2 The paper jams in the paper path, mostly after the first paper jam, the paper jam is erroneously cleared, so that the lever of the sensor PS203 cannot be automatically reset or broken. Unpack the printer and repair or replace the lever. 

2.3 The paper jams in the fuser. This is a common paper jam and a paper jam that is difficult to handle. Most of such paper jams are caused by the use of desirable paper, such as paper that is too thin, curled, too wet, etc. In addition, due to foreign matter jamming in the fuser and disassembly of the fuser, the fuser presses the screw of the cover plate. Too tight or too loose will cause this failure. Under normal circumstances, when the fuser jam is found, stop immediately, open the front cover, take out the toner cartridge, or a part of the paper has not been rolled into the fuser or some paper has been output to the front of the fuser, you can release the left side of the panel. The gear handle separates the gear of the fuser unit from the other gears, then pulls the sheet of paper that is exposed to the outside evenly and pulls it out slowly. Note that the fuser and other transmission gears must be separated before pulling the paper. , use even force when pulling paper. Otherwise, it is easy to break the paper, which makes it difficult to troubleshoot.


If the entire sheet of paper is entangled in the fuser (wrapped on the surface of the fixing roller or in the form of an accordion in the heat roller), the sharpener may not be used to scrape the clip to avoid damaging the fixing roller. Only disassemble the machine and remove the paper. The method of disassembling the machine is as follows: first open the front cover box and remove it (just press the left end of the insertion point into one point), take out the toner box, loosen the three screws of the rear cover, and use a small flat-blade screwdriver. Gently turn on the dark card inside the upper two end holes and remove the back cover. Remove the two casing fixing screws on the top of the machine and lift the casing upwards. (The bottom of the casing is on the right side. There are also two dark cards in the front unit. The casing is fixed on the base. When the casing is raised, the casing should be pulled out first. Two dark cards). Remove the blank on the fuser guard on the right side of the machine and loosen the two screws on the fuser cover (the two screws are on the side of the cover for fixing the fuser heat roller cover to the bottom plate). Lower the cover to remove the paper jammed inside. If the paper is caught in the fuser heat roller, loosen the fixing screw of the metal platen of the heater on the fuser unit, gently lift up the heat roller, and take out the paper jammed in the fuser unit. To clean the fuser, loosen the screws of the metal platen, take the metal platen, and then remove the dirt from the fuser. Finally, the machine is restored as it is. Pay attention to the metal platen screws. Do not put them too tight or too loose, so as not to cause paper slipping during work in the future, and it is easy to jam. 4 The paper jams at the paper exit position, which may be caused by contamination of the sensor PS201 window or incorrectly clearing the jam.


During the printing operation of the printer, the paper feed speed and the position of the paper in the channel are strictly controlled. If within a certain period of time, the sensor in the next position does not sense the presence of the printing paper, the undetected signal will be reported to the main processor DC, and the processor immediately issues an instruction to stop the main motor. Protect the printer. At the same time, the error indicator lights up, indicating that a fault has occurred. When clearing the paper jam, it is generally removed in the direction of the paper feed. The paper cannot be pulled in the opposite direction, which may cause the sensor lever to be deformed, broken, or leave the torn paper in a position inside the printer. To block the passage. In the event of such a malfunction, only remove the printer to clear the jam to completely troubleshoot.


Third, after the printer accepts the print command, the printer does not feed the paper, and the fault light is on.


1. The cause of the malfunction

2. Overhaul method, HP 6L printer pickup roller, is a cam-shaped rubber wheel. There are many corrugations on the convex surface parallel to the paper to increase the friction. After the printer receives the print command, the main processor DC sends a drive signal (at this time, there is paper on the printer, and the "ready" light is on), the electromagnetic clutch Pull in and release the pickup roller positioning cam. The main motor rotates, driving the pickup roller to rotate for 1 week, and feeding one sheet of paper into the paper feed wheel position. This process takes about 2.5 seconds to complete. If the pickup roller slips and cannot be completed within 2.5s, the paper sensor (PS203) in the lower part of the paper feed roller in the channel does not sense the presence of the paper, that is, the error is reported to the processor, the main motor stops rotating, and the error light is on. Clean the pickup roller to eliminate this malfunction. If the pickup roller is severely slipped, the paper should be replaced. The pickup roller electromagnetic clutch does not move, and the pickup roller positioning cam cannot be released, so that the printing paper cannot be fed. Check the electromagnetic clutch, it is difficult to pull the armature, and the fault can be eliminated after cleaning the armature. When the printer loads paper, the paper sensor (PS202) strikes the sensor lever due to the paper's own weight, and the "Ready" light should illuminate. If it is not lit, it may be contaminated by the paper sensor window. In addition, the intermediate paper feed sensor (PS203) will not report the paper and will report an error signal, and the error indicator will light. Under normal circumstances, because the HP6L model printer uses the upper paper feeding mode, the paper end will inevitably fall into the printer. After a long time, the paper sensor's perspective window will be blocked, the sensing signal will not be transmitted normally, and the printer will not work properly. At this time, the printer should be disassembled to clean the photoelectric sensor to eliminate the malfunction.
