1. Concentration: The ink concentration is an indicator pigment of the pigment content, which generally accounts for about 20% of the total amount of ink. The amount of ink concentration is generally judged by detecting the coloring power. When printing, the same amount of ink is used, the ink concentration is large, and the color of the printed matter is thick, whereas the color of the printed matter is light. Especially when printing a large area of the ground, the influence of the ink concentration on the printing quality is particularly significant.
2. Fineness: The fineness of the ink indicates the pigment, filler particle size and uniformity of distribution in the binder. The fineness of the ink is directly related to the nature of the pigment and the particle size. The finer the fineness, the more stable the properties of the ink, and the printed product outlets are full and powerful. On the contrary, in the printing, the printing plate has a low printing durability, such as ink stacking, dot emptiness, expansion, and unclean spots.
3. Viscosity: The viscosity of the ink is tested with an ink viscous meter. The magnitude of the viscosity of the ink refers to the amount of force that separates the ink film between the two rollers of the viscometer. Too much viscosity of the ink will affect the quality of the print. In addition, the relative viscosity of each color ink is selected according to the printing order. Under normal conditions, it is not necessary to adjust the viscosity of the ink. If it needs to be adjusted, it can be selected according to its viscosity and consistency.
4. Gloss: The gloss of the ink is the ratio of the amount of light reflected by the ink to the specific light source and a certain angle of illumination, and the amount of light reflected by the standard plate, expressed as a percentage. Generally, the higher the gloss feeling, the better the printing effect. Although the gloss of the printed matter has a certain relationship with the dampening liquid used for printing and the absorbency of the paper, it is mainly determined by the ink. This property of the ink is in turn primarily dependent on the binder and pigment therein. The binder and pigment in the ink should have good printability, and the resin itself has high gloss. The gloss of such ink printed on paper is high.
5. Dryness: The drying process of offset ink on paper is the process of changing the ink from a highly fluid non-polar gel to a fixed state. Generally, the offset printing ink is divided into two indexes: the fixing speed and the oxidized conjunctiva drying. At present, the offset inks are all resin type, and the fixing speed is fast. In theory, the quicker the better, the better, but the initial drying will affect the gloss of the print. Generally, about 80% of the ink conjunctiva drying time is between 16-30 hours.
