In printing, it is a lot of trouble to touch the paper with static electricity. For example, when the paper is cut according to the specifications, the paper must be hit before printing on the machine. With static electricity, under the action of static electricity, the paper and the paper are firmly bitten, and the air is difficult to penetrate between the papers. To align the paper, it is often necessary to pull them one by one.

In printing

Due to the electrostatic attraction, the papers are closely attached, and the separation nozzles of the automatic paper separator may not be separated. When the brush is pressed, it is easy to produce broken and empty sheets; if the brush pressure is light, it will cause double or multiple sheets, and multiple sheets of paper will enter between the blanket cylinder and the impression cylinder, which will cause boring and crushing the rubber. Cloth or padding. Paper with static electricity is unnatural and unsmooth in the forward direction of the paper feeding table; it is easy to cause irregularity and misalignment when reaching the front gauge, which may result in inaccurate overprinting and waste.

When receiving paper

Even if the paper with static electricity passes through the imprinting process, it is easy to pick up the paper, which causes trouble for the second whole paper. Many objects with static electricity are caused by friction, and paper charging is also caused by friction. When making paper, the friction between the paper and the calender, the friction between the paper and the blanket cylinder and the impression cylinder during printing are all causes of static electricity. So how do you eliminate static electricity from paper?

One of the methods

After the paper enters the warehouse, the storage time is as long as possible. The storage area can communicate with the printing workshop better. The temperature is controlled at 18~25 degrees Celsius, and the relative humidity is controlled at 60~70%, so that the temperature and humidity of the paper library and the print shop Achieving consistency, which is beneficial to change the moisture content of the stored paper. The change in the moisture content of the paper is a process of releasing static electricity.

Method two

During the printing process, add a damp towel to the delivery section, and fix the towel with water on the tie rod to make the paper contact with the damp towel when passing. This is a kind of static elimination. An easy way to do it.

Method three

When the relative humidity in the workshop is less than 50%, it is easy to generate high static electricity during printing or plate making. Therefore, increasing the relative humidity of the workshop and the water content of the paper, especially increasing the relative humidity of the room during paper drying, helps To eliminate static electricity. The humidity adjustment device can be used to increase the relative humidity in the room, and the humidity control device can be used to sprinkle water on the ground to humidify the device. The humidity control equipment is mainly a humidifier. Install a centrifugal automatic humidifier on the ceiling or wall of the workshop. When the relative humidity in the room does not meet the requirements, the humidifier will automatically spray the mist of water vapor to increase the relative humidity in the room. When the relative humidity in the room reaches the required level, The spray will stop automatically.

Method four

The static eliminator is used to neutralize the charge on the charged body by the ions generated by the static eliminator, thereby achieving the purpose of eliminating static electricity.

There are three types of current static eliminators:

One is a radioactive element remover. It uses ionization of radioisotopes to ionize air to generate ions to neutralize static electricity on charged bodies. One is an automatic discharge static eliminator. It is made of a conductive needle, a conductive rubber or a conductive metal material, and is made into a needle-like thin wire electrode and is in good contact. The electric field of the charged body itself generates a corona discharge to generate ions to neutralize the charge on the charged body. Another type is an external voltage static eliminator. It applies a high voltage to the needle-shaped or thin-line electrode, and corona generates ions.

Method five

Antistatic agents (also known as static eliminators, static removers) are used. The principle of the antistatic agent is to impart hygroscopic ions to the surface of the charged body such as paper or film, and become hydrophilic, thereby absorbing moisture in the air, reducing electric resistance, increasing conductivity, and making static charge less likely to accumulate. The antistatic agent is mainly a surfactant having a hydrophilic group and a hydrophobic group (or a polar group and a non-polar group). The hydrophilic group has a strong affinity for a substance having a relatively high polarity such as water, and the hydrophobic group has a strong affinity for a substance having a relatively small polarity such as oil. Antistatic agents have a wide range of uses in printing, such as soft rubber rolls used to prevent static electricity.
