Blanket cleaning
In the printing press, the blanket is very easy to stick to the ink, dust and coated material on the paper, so it must be cleaned. Small printing companies typically use manual cleaning, special cleaning cloths, disposable cleaning papers or other tools with cleaning agents, while large companies often need specialized equipment to replace most manual operations.
The blanket cleaner is usually composed of a fat type carbohydrate, an aromatic hydrocarbon compound, and an organic substance such as ethylene glycol diethyl ether. Water-soluble detergents containing flocculation, surface activation, bis-ionine and other cleaning substances can also be used for blanket cleaning, but not as extensive as the former.
The word "TypeWash" has been left over from history, mainly referring to detergents with strong detergency, used to remove stubbornness, such as solidified ink. Of course, it can also be used as a general cleaning agent. Toluene, MEK, methylene halides and other organic solvents are the main constituents thereof.
Plate and ink roller cleaning
Usually, the dampening solution has a cleaning effect, and it can directly remove debris such as dust and paper scraps on the printing plate without special treatment. But sometimes we must also clean the plate, usually by hand, but be careful not to let the detergent contaminate the dampening solution.
Occasionally, the ink tank and the ink roller also need to be cleaned. At this time, the ink fountain should first be scraped off as much as possible, then the detergent should be added to the ink fountain cleaning tray, and the entire ink roller system should be cleaned by the ink roller transmission.

Usually the printing machine needs regular maintenance, especially the gears, motor power system and transmission parts. In addition, the need to continue or replace the lubricant should also be noted.
