This is a kind of auxiliary agent for light-colored inks. Its main function is to reduce the ink color strength, and to basically maintain the ink's ink (viscosity, fluidity) and printing performance.

Such adjuvants include white ink with strong hiding power, transparent and translucent white oil, Wei Li oil eve, bright light paste, and zero oil. At the same time, there is a thinner in the solvent ink, varnish and the like. This is an auxiliary agent necessary to achieve a certain process design, and their respective properties are very different, and should be paid more attention in use.

White ink, all kinds of inks have their own white ink, it is dim and strong, and the texture is heavy. If it can be used in a large amount in the letterpress, then the light color should be used less in the offset printing, or it can be used in combination with the transparent and translucent type. If it is used in a large amount, the transferability and the printing effect are not good. In particular, cloud-like spots appear in printing, and at the same time, the hydrophilicity of titanium dioxide is liable to cause emulsification and dirty plates. It is true that white ink is an indispensable diluting material.

White oil is also used for diluting. It is mainly used in oil type and oleoresin type inks. Offset printing and lead printing are available.

One is a dispersed slurry-like translucent body which is formed by dispersing aluminum hydroxide, barium sulfate, and titanium dioxide in a varnish and wax oil. This material can be used in lighter grades or primers in higher grade products.

One is an emulsified paste-like translucent body obtained by saponifying magnesium carbonate, stearic acid, and a polymer oil by heating. The cost is low, the process is simple, but unstable, which has a great influence on printing performance. Can only be used for low-end printing or for handling paper surfaces.

As for their usage, it depends on the requirements of the light color. Fine prints are not suitable to avoid affecting gloss and other qualities, and should be accompanied by dry oil or other means to accelerate drying (such as heat).

Transparent oil (Veli oil), which is a large-volume, widely used auxiliary agent for dilution, which is characterized by good transparency, excellent printing performance, and the disadvantage of affecting dryness. It is a transparent slurry formed by dispersing aluminum hydroxide with suitable water content through a three-roll ink press in a binder. The color is light, and it is similar to offset printing, printing ink, and colorless ink. Therefore, the transparency of the binder is due to the fact that the refractive index of aluminum hydroxide is close to or equal to the refractive index of the binder.

The type of binder has been extended from the pure oil type to the resin type. The use of transparent colloidal calcium carbonate with aluminum hydroxide or a single material, the improved adjuvant, to improve the viscosity of the ink, increase the gloss than the pure aluminum hydroxide and polymer oil for the transparent oil.

Transparent oil is generally used to prepare light-colored inks for offset printing or printing. It has little effect on color, and it can also play a good role in gloss and printability on general printed materials. However, it should be noted that due to the reaction of aluminum hydroxide with amphoteric hydroxide, it reacts with acid and alkali, which causes the ink to gel and swell. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the current use, the good ink should not be stored for a long time; in addition, for Jinguanghong, Guangguang Blue, Iron Blue, Qinglian Blue and other inks, if it is used to dilute, it will cause the color to dim, or fade, to Taboo use. At the same time, due to poor water resistance in offset printing, it may cause problems such as emulsification.

No. 0 oil, in addition to the role of diluting, is mainly used to adjust the thin and flowing ink body.

Another type of product in the thinner (evacure agent) is derived from the high-quality requirements of the product and the need to adjust the ink. Such as bright light paste, bright light remover and so on.

Most of these thinners are paste-like transparent bodies made of rosin-modified phenolic resin, gel-forming materials, dry vegetable oils, ink oils, etc., or materials other than the above materials, dispersed calcium carbonate. , into a translucent paste-like adhesive. It is used with high-grade inks with light-colored inks. At the same time, it has good brightness, good water resistance and printability, which can play the bright light and increase the three-dimensional effect of printed products. Some beautiful prints and trademarks are used. At the same time, within 3%, the ink of the large and less sticky ink can be adjusted.

When using such a thinner, pay attention to two points: First, with light-colored ink, such as Xiaohong, Xiaolan, etc., when printing on a highly permeable coated paper, generally no dry oil is added; if the temperature is low, When the humidity is high, or the printing is not long, the drying oil is generally not added; if the temperature is low, the humidity is high, or the printing is not long, depending on the printed pattern, 0.5-3% white dry oil, or Red dry oil should be properly reduced. Second, if you feel a large and dilute viscosity, you must also use a small amount of debonding agent; if the viscosity is large and the ink is thick, it must be accompanied by a resin thinner. Third, the amount is diluted to the color you want to achieve.
