Newspaper printing is a job that races against time and has a strong timeliness. Broken paper has become a major factor affecting timeliness, making the printing factory miserable. At the same time, the second boot caused by paper breakage wasted paper and other printing consumables, and also swallowed the meager profits of the printing house.
How to break the paper or keep the paper has become a difficult problem to be solved.
The author analyzes this phenomenon with the use of our factory's universal 70 in the past six years.
First, the harm of broken paper
1. Affect the publication timeliness of newspapers. Statistics have been made. For example, if a piece of paper is broken at a time, it takes about 12 minutes from the break of the paper to the second start. If the paper breakage causes secondary hazards, such as crushing the blanket or the paper-wrapping roll, the time is even worse. Long. In the market where the seconds are a must, if there is a aging accident, it will affect the market share of the newspaper. As far as the printing factory is concerned, if the frequent aging accident will affect its reputation, it will cause the loss of customers.
2. Affect the profit of the printing factory. Take our four towers and 32 editions of the evening newspaper as an example. When we break the paper once, the second boot will produce more than l200 scraps, about 5,000 pairs will open, and one time will cause more than 100 kilograms of paper waste, calculated at 5,500 yuan / ton. It is more than 600, which is not considered as ink, dampening solution and other consumables. In addition, the printing factory, the editorial department, and the issuing company all have time-honored reward and punishment contracts, and the delay in the printing factory has to pay a fine, and the loss is even greater.
3. Secondary hazards caused by broken paper. Interrupting the paper at high speed often crushes the blanket, and it takes 15 minutes to replace a piece of blanket. A blanket of more than 1,000 yuan can be seen as a hazard. In addition, the high-speed paper-cutting machine has no cushioning, resulting in a hard landing, which seriously affects the service life of the machine.
Second, the reasons for the broken paper and the solution
(1) Reason for paper
Needless to say, paper quality problems are a very important cause of paper breaks. Common paper diseases are: there are holes in the paper, and the paper is broken when the paper is broken; there is adhesion between the upper and lower layers of the paper, the paper is torn open during printing, and the paper is broken; the paper has broken edges and sinus, no The processing is detected in time to break the paper; the paper roll produced in the production, transportation, storage and other links is too eccentric and easy to print interrupted paper; the joint in the paper roll is easy to break; the paper pull is not good, and the paper breaks easily.
Solution: 1 Strengthen communication with the paper mill, retain the pattern, and let the paper mill strengthen quality control. 2 Paper storage and handling should be standardized to avoid damage to paper. 3 The paper with the problem found in the printing was replaced in time.
(2) Reasons for printing equipment
1. The paper feed unit is faulty. Commonly, the tension caused by electrical failure is abnormally broken, the program is disordered, the paper roll is not connected, the paper roll is running, etc. The mechanical failure is mainly the brake pad problem. At the beginning of our 70 machine, due to the brake pad material problem, The tension is too small when the paper is picked up, and the paper is broken several times.
Solution: 1 Operators should strictly follow the instructions for use. 2 A program failure occurs to reset the power. 3 Please check with the electrical staff. 4 brake pads to ensure quality and regular adjustment.
2. The feed roller (infeed) is faulty. Common faults include shaftless transmission failure, governor failure causing paper breakage; communication failure causing paper break; paper feed roller rubber roller causing paper breakage.
Solution: 1 Check the running status of the paper feed roller drive and find out the problem in time. 2 Check the communication cable. 3 Regularly check and adjust the pressure of the paper feed roller, and find that it is excessively worn and replaced in time.
3. The printing department is faulty. Common faults include: a certain color motor drive fault causes asynchronous paper break; 2 communication fault causes no shaft transmission fault to cause paper break; 3 spray nozzle fault causes the machine to spray water in non-printing state, because the plate cylinder is too wet during printing. Broken paper when pressed; we have encountered this situation many times. 4 The blanket is pulled out during printing to cause paper breakage.
Solution: 1 Check the running status of the drive and find out the problem in time. 2 Check the communication cable. 3 Replace the sprinkler bar. Such faults should be analyzed. If the plate on the plate is dry, and the paper is broken after pressing, and there is a watermark on the paper, then it is necessary to consider checking the sprinkler. 4 Check the blanket before starting the machine, especially if the card is not tight, it is easy to take it out. This is a quality problem, it is best not to use it.
4. The paper roll ink is too thick and easy to break. Long-time printing, such as the paper roller ink is too thick, easy to break the paper, especially when the paper is picked, generally speaking, once a day can be wiped.
5. The paper feed roller drive is faulty. The paper-feeding roller is an important part of the tension system. We have encountered the problem of paper break caused by the overheating of the drive. It is often that all paper paths are broken and the time is serious. After checking, the drive cooling fan is faulty and the fault is removed after replacement. Note: The refrigeration equipment in the electrical cabinet should be inspected regularly, and the filter should be cleaned regularly to avoid overheating protection of the drive.
6. A momentary power failure causes a paper break. Since the machine is shaftless, the momentary power failure will cause paper breaks in all printing, and it is easy to burn electrical components, which is very harmful, so it should be coordinated with the power supply department. In addition, it is necessary to add ups backup power. In one night shift, the power was turned off instantaneously, the equipment of the shaft transmission just stopped, and then it was turned on again, and all the paper paths of the 70 machine were completely broken, and a relay was broken, and the time was serious, and the 75 machine with the ups was installed. No downtime, no impact on production.
(3) Breaking paper caused by human error
Buying things and asking for truth, the operator's improper operation or weak sense of responsibility caused by broken papers also occur from time to time. Common ones are:
1. Common problems when the paper supplier handles the paper. 1 The black mark is not properly positioned when the paper is processed, which causes the signal to be disordered when the paper is picked up, and the paper roll is easy to run; 2 the tape is not well attached, causing the paper to break when the paper is picked, and often Accompanied by the situation of crushing the blanket; 3 the top cone is not fastened after the paper is fed (the paper holder is not automatically fastened), the tension is not enough when starting the machine, and the running edge is easily broken.
2. The common problems of the layout personnel are that after 1 version, the water traces on the plate are not dried in time, causing the drum to have water, and the paper is broken when the pressure is turned on; 2 when the ink is added, the ink is accidentally added to the ink roller. Too much ink, sticky paper; 3 not printed in time after printing a printed product, so that the paper is detected by the paper cutter; 4 printing the narrow-width paper, then printing on a larger format paper When the blanket is not wiped clean, the paper is broken when it is turned on; 5 the tension wheel in the middle of the printing portion is pressed too tightly. When the paper is turned on, the paper is cut from the middle to break the paper.
3. When the multi-paper printing is performed, the tension setting is not suitable, the tension is not matched, some papers have a large tension, and the small tension paper runs to the left and right to cause the paper to break.
The solution is to do a good job of staff training, let the operators understand and master their respective job requirements, and be proficient; 2 strengthen the system constraints, let employees do the work fine, do well, and strengthen the sense of responsibility.
