Advantages of screen printing
Around us, almost any aspect will use screen printing products, screen printing is widely favored by the market for its many advantages. Silk screen printing is a universal printing technology, except for water and air, only you can't think of it, you can't print without it. Today, we will talk about the advantages of screen printing and analyze the universal screen printing technology. 1. Low cost and quick effect. Screen printing can be mechanized production, can also be manual operation, its investment can be large or small, from thousands of yuan can be engaged in individual manual production, to tens of millions of yuan to build a modern screen printing factory. Those simple printing that cannot be completed by lithographic, embossing, and gravure printing can be completed with silk screen printing. Screen printing can be divided into industrial screen printing and fine art screen printing. Fine art screen printing can be used to print exquisite prints and reproduce precious oil paintings, and its products are bright in color and thick in ink. The sense of subjectivity of the picture is strong, which is beyond the reach of other printing methods. 2. Adapt to the printing of irregular substrate surfaces. The screen plate is rich in elasticity, in addition to printing on flat objects, it can also be printed on the surface of curved, spherical or uneven special-shaped objects, such as various glassware, plastics, bottles and cans, lacquerware, wood, etc., which can not be printed by lithographic, embossing and gravure printing methods. 3. Strong adhesion and good inkability. Due to the characteristics of the screen plate, the ink passes through the screen pores and adheres directly to the surface of the substrate. According to the requirements of the substrate material, it can be printed with ink, and can also be printed with various paints or color pastes, glues, etc. Other printing methods are limited by the subtle requirements for pigment particle size in inks. 4. The ink layer is thick and three-dimensional. Among the four major printing methods, the ink layer of screen printing is thicker, the texture of pictures and texts is rich, and the three-dimensional sense is strong. The ink layer for offset printing is 1.6 microns, embossing is about 5 microns, gravure is about 12.8 microns, flexographic printing is about 10 microns, and screen printing can be up to 60 microns. The thickness of the ink layer for thick film screen printing can reach about 1 mm. Screen printing is used to print Braille with a thickness of up to 300 microns. The method is to make a positive picture directly on the screen plate according to the original manuscript through a braille machine, and after printing with screen printing foam ink, it is heated and dried immediately to form Braille. 5. Strong lightfastness and good colorability. If compared according to the maximum density measured after a single imprint on coated paper using black ink, the offset printing is 1.4, the embossing is 1.6, the gravure printing is 1.8, and the maximum density value range of screen printing can reach 2.0, so the lightfastness of the screen printing is extremely strong, and the colorability is much better than that of offset printing. In offset printing, if you want to use the proofing mechanism to take the opaque printing surface covered by white, you need to reverse the same part 3-4 times, while screen printing can only print once. In terms of the colorability of the printed product, even if the same color print with a fairly light printing color, the texture and color of screen printing far exceed that of offset printing. The thickness of the ink layer for screen printing can be thicker or thinner. For example, in four-color screen printing, the ink layer of each color is required not to be thick, but to be thin. The method of thinning the ink layer is to make the ink layer of screen printing thinner, or even thinner, by changing variable factors such as printing speed, ink viscosity, screen thickness, scraper shape, printing pressure, and inking angle. 6. A wide range of substrates. It can be paper, cardboard, wood, metal, textiles, plastics, cork, leather, fur, ceramics, glass, decal paper, transfer paper, and a combination of various materials, so screen printing is not only used in the printing industry, but also widely distributed in printing and dyeing, clothing, signage, radio, electronics, ceramics and packaging and decoration industries. 7. Large printing format. Nowadays, lithographic'emboss, gravure and flexographic printing are all limited by the size of the printing format, while screen printing can be used for large-format printing. Especially at present, with the rapid development of the advertising market, the proportion of large-scale outdoor advertising prints in the advertising market is increasing. Now the largest format screen printing outdoor advertising can reach 2.2x3.8 meters and 2.2x4 meters.
