Step 2: Retouch and color
1. Puzzles. Before the retouching, stitching and retouching are mainly required to be completed in Photoshop (hereinafter referred to as "PS"). It can be stitched by hand in the PS, or it can be automatically stitched using the Photomerge plug-in. Manual stitching requires high PS usage experience and operating skills, and requires a lot of time and effort of the staff. Photomerge is a plug-in built-in to the PS. The application is very simple and the splicing effect is good. As long as the adjacent single-chip scanned images have overlapping areas, perfect seamless splicing can be achieved in most cases, only if the scanning is incomplete or there is Stitching errors occur only when they are deformed. The Photomerge plug-in computes the same pixel in four separate images and then uses the mask automatically to achieve seamless stitching.
2. Convert color mode. Correctly changing the color mode is very important and will directly affect the quality of later revisions and output. The scanned image is in RGB mode and can be modified after converting to CMYK mode. For calligraphy, the most important thing is to produce a high-quality black version. Only in this way, the color of the finished product after the printout will be pure and natural, and this also applies to Chinese painting works. When the black version is generated, there are two methods: GCR and UCR. GCR is also called gray component substitution. It is a long tone black version. UCR is also called ground color removal and is a short tone black version. For calligraphy, because its color is black except the seal, we chose to customize the GCR to generate the black version. The steps are as follows:
Open "Edit" - "Color Settings", click "Custom CMYK" in the "CMYK" option; in "Custom CMYK", click "Separation Options" - "GCR" - "Black Generation" option. Maximum value". After selecting the maximum value, in the process of generating the black version, the system will convert all the RGB color values that can reach the neutral gray to the K value in CMYK, thereby maximizing the black color. If the color separation of ink paintings is to be based on a reasonable selection of "in" or "more" according to the color style of ink painting, "maximum" is only suitable for calligraphy works. After selecting "Maximum", the black version of the curve is shown in Figure 3.

We can see that the grayscale chromatogram has become a straight line with a 45-degree angle, while the CMY chromatogram has become a straight line with a 0-degree angle. After clicking "OK", the color mode can be changed. After converting the scanned image to the CMYK mode, by examining the four-color channel, we will find that the color in the original image is basically all converted to the K version except that the C version has a little color value. When dealing with calligraphy works and Chinese ink painting works, the black version is the bone of the entire picture. Ma Jinglin Zeng Qi Shandong Media Profession College stands to control the density contrast and color stability of the entire image. If the black version is processed properly, the copying effect will be very high. Good, but also better reflect the style of calligraphy and Chinese painting.
3. Retouch the map. Before retouching, first extract the color value of the stamp, because in the process of retouching, giving priority to the value of the black text will affect the color of the seal at the same time. The restoration. For this work, the color value of the extracted seal is approximately M85Y60K30. Turn on the black channel, adjust the color gamut, and redefine the values of the black and white fields in the “input gradation” so that the text part basically reaches K100 and the white background reaches K0. This can also be achieved by using the Curve tool while adjusting. After the adjustment is complete, perform a local repair on the area where the bottom ash remains on the black channel. It is worth noting that during the adjustment process, certain details such as dry pen and flying white in calligraphy must be preserved. If excessive emphasis is placed on the contrast between black and white, it will lose many levels of detail and cause departure from the original calligraphy. Then use the same method to adjust the M channel. The M channel retains the color value of the seal. The adjustment of the color gradation redefines the black and white fields. After the M channel adjustment is completed, press the Ctrl key to click on the M channel and then deselect it. This will get the pixel information of all the seals in the entire artwork, create a new layer, and extract the color values before the retouching to fill. Select the calligraphy layer and fill all the C, M, and Y channels with white. The overall effect is shown in Figure 4.

Step 3: Output
After the adjustment and retouching are completed, it can be output and printed. For the calligraphy works, you can use the art micro spray special coating rice paper, or you can use the cooked rice dumplings that have been treated with twisting. The surface of coated rice paper has a layer of coating to prevent ink from fainting. It can better represent the details of calligraphy strokes, but there is still a gap between the surface texture and feel of coated rice paper and conventional rice paper. If it is ink painting, because of its high level and color requirements, you can only use rice paper.
When choosing the ink, use fade-proof pigment ink. Although the dye ink will be more vivid in color, it will fade after long exposure to air. In addition, for the selection of black ink, there are two kinds of rough black and photo black, for the traditional calligraphy paper output print calligraphy works, must use rough black ink to play a better effect.
The above-mentioned treatment methods for the art micro-injection of calligraphy works are only one of numerous methods. If a whole set of color management system is used from scanning to printout, the steps of toning and retouching will be greatly reduced, regardless of the device. How advanced the process is, the human factor is always indispensable and crucial. We hope that the above methods can pro
