On September 4th, 2009 Digital Printing was held in Beijing at the China Technology Summit Forum. Experts from the publishing and printing industry at home and abroad have explored the theme of “New Values in the Publishing Industry: Publishing on Demand”. Experts gave a keynote speech on the application and development trend of digital printing technology in China's publishing industry, and discussed the development status and business model of on-demand publishing and printing in China.
Wang Yanwei, director of the Printing and Distribution Management Department of the General Administration of Press and Publication, said at the forum that on-demand publishing is the application of digital printing technology in the field of publishing. It not only brought about innovation in production technology and technology, but also changed the traditional The publishing process and model introduce advanced data processing systems, digital printing systems and network systems into the publishing field, breaking through the printing restrictions of the traditional publishing model, realizing the digitalization of the entire publishing process, and recombining the editing, printing and distribution of the publishing process. The link satisfies the publishing requirements of books such as broken editions and short editions, making it possible to publish zero inventory and “green publishing” of book publishing, which is conducive to promoting the sustainable development of China's publishing industry.
